Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

  • Duties performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" by the U.S. Government’s designated Security Office.
  • Location: CONUS/OCONUS - Washington, DC.
  • Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
  • Master’s degree with ten years of energy policy experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and work with contractors, federal personnel, stakeholders, and other federal and government agencies.
  • Conduct policy research, apply policy guidance to program planning, and prepare technical papers, presentations and briefing materials for senior Department of Energy management covering internal departmental issues as well as other federal agency policy initiatives.
  • Provide both classified and unclassified support in a number of critical areas, including international, as part of Office of Electricity’s mission to enhance energy infrastructure security and reliability.
  • Provide analytical expertise, conduct policy research and provide technical and financial management support to prepare drafts of critical policy statements covering such areas as: Executive Orders, Presidential Directives, Federal Regulations, draft management and implementation plans, milestone development plans, recommendations and critiques on methodologies, and relevant technologies in support of Office of Electricity mission objectives.
  • Provide policy analysis on relevant energy sector topics like energy security, resiliency and survivability of critical energy assets and energy infrastructure during or after an energy event.
  • Manage discrete policy research projects and tasks through completion according to established budgets and level of effort, schedule, and deliverable specifications.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and complete work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for all projects and tasks.
  • Establish and adhere to all contractor budget and spending controls to meet all contractual deliverables, milestones and scheduled due dates.
  • Assist in the review and drafting of decision papers regarding internal Departmental policy positions as well as other agency policy statements and directives.
  • Write, prepare formal presentations, and provide program-level communications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Government consulting experience is preferred.
  • May be required to obtain a current Top Secret (TS)/DOE “Q” or TS/Q Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
