Job Summary
Asset Governance and Compliance Manager is critical in ensuring the effective and compliant management of all IT and business assets across the organization. This position is responsible for enforcing asset governance processes, driving process change, building and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), and managing the execution of technology changes. The Manager will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including IT teams, business units, and senior leadership, to ensure asset management best practices are implemented and maintained.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Asset Governance:
- Enforce asset governance policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Identify and address gaps in asset governance processes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain a strong control framework for asset management.
2. Process Change Management:
- Lead and execute process change initiatives related to asset management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials.
3. Metrics and Reporting:
- Define, collect, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to asset management.
- Generate regular reports on asset performance, risk, and compliance.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
4. Technology Change Management:
- Coordinate and manage technology changes related to asset management, such as integrating new asset data sources, data discovery, etc.
- Work closely with technical stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of technology changes.
- Manage the change process from initiation to implementation, including impact assessment, risk management, and communication.
5. Steering Committee Management:
- Organize and facilitate regular meetings of the asset management steering committee.
- Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and presentations for steering committee meetings.
- Drive consensus and decision-making among stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT asset management, with a focus on governance, compliance, and process improvement.
- Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks.
- Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage projects and drive change initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data analysis and interpretation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
