Assistant Financial Controller
About the job
- A ZICA Licentiate/CA or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Must be a registered member of ZICA in good standing.
- At least 3 years of experience in an Assistant Financial Controller or similar role within a hotel or resort environment is required.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle MICROS Simphony, OPERA PMS, Materials Control, Sage Accounting, and Sage Payroll systems is required.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced luxury environment is required.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
- A proactive, hands-on, and team-oriented mindset is required.
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with statutory compliance, including PAYE, VAT, NAPSA, and NHIMA.
- Support internal controls, stock counts, audits, and brand compliance.
- Assist with treasury, accounts receivable and payable, payroll oversight, and cost control processes.
- Act in the Financial Controller’s role when required.
