About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain multi-layer switches and routers.
- Knowledge of firewalls, including Ubiquiti products (UDM Pro, pfSense, and Fortinet).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of routing and the BGP routing protocol.
- Relevant experience with ESET or other antimalware solutions.
- Intermediate to advanced computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management.
- Knowledge of vendor management.
- At least 3 years of experience as an IT Associate.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to be self-directed and motivated.
- Respond to and resolve tickets, requests, and issues raised to the IT team professionally and promptly; meet or exceed service-level agreements and commitments, and provide end users with timely updates when needed.
- Provide hardware support and configuration for laptops, desktops, monitors, mice, keyboards, printers, and related equipment.
- Provide software support and configuration for Windows 10, Office 365, Google Workspace, and related software.
- Provide end-to-end onboarding support, including hardware procurement, configuration, inventory management, account creation, and access management.
- Provide end-to-end offboarding support, including hardware movement, inventory management, and access management.
- Set up and deploy PCs for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software.
- Assign users and computers to appropriate security groups and maintain security restrictions.
- Perform workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
- Ensure strict compliance with PCI DSS requirements.
- Create and manage knowledge base and process documentation.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for IT helpdesk tasks and processes.
- Ensure escalations concerning security, systems, or networks are raised to the team lead and/or IT Infrastructure team efficiently and promptly.
- Perform other IT-related ad hoc tasks as instructed by the team lead or manager.
- Proactively recommend or raise opportunities for improvement.
- Provide on-site and remote IT support as needed.
- Manage organizational IT infrastructure, including physical networks (LAN/WAN), structured cabling, servers, business support systems, and end-user support.
