The contractor shall provide IT Infrastructure support services, which includes Tier 1 Help Desk, Tier 2 End User Support, Tier 3 Server, Platform, and Network Infrastructure Support and Engineering. Services shall include, but are not limited to, technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues; incident and problem resolution; service request management; infrastructure monitoring and support; hardware and software lifecycle support; and management of escalation across all tiers.

Position Description: Responsible for managing and maintaining the agency’s Microsoft-based IT infrastructure. This role includes overseeing the deployment, configuration, and support of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 (O365), SharePoint, Teams, and Azure. The administrator ensures the secure, stable, and efficient operation of these systems by performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting tasks.

Key responsibilities include managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure system integrity and security. Microsoft Administrator II collaborates with cross-functional IT teams to support various and OCIO specific projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise to ensure Microsoft technologies are effectively integrated into the agency's overall IT strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Azure cloud environments, including subscriptions, resource groups, virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, and platform services.
• Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity solutions, conditional access policies, privileged identity management (PIM), and role-based access controls (RBAC).
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure networking services including Network Security Groups, Azure Firewall, Application Gateways, VPN connectivity, private endpoints, and hybrid network integration.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or similar automation tools.
• Support Azure landing zone implementation, governance frameworks, tagging strategies, and subscription management.
• Administer Intune and endpoint management solutions for device compliance, configuration management, application deployment, and security policy enforcement.
• Monitor Azure environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Microsoft Defender security tools.
• Support cloud migration projects involving servers, applications, databases, and hybrid workloads.
• Perform security hardening and vulnerability remediation activities across Azure and Microsoft enterprise platforms.
• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and related cloud-native technologies.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities utilizing Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and high-availability architectures.
• Participate in cloud architecture reviews and provide recommendations for performance optimization, cost management, and security improvements.
• Troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, and endpoint management issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support activities to ensure continuous system availability.
• Ensure compliance with agency security requirements, NIST controls, and federal cloud security standards.

Secondary Responsibilities

As required, this role may need to support on-prem work at colo locations, including:

• Supporting end-to-end hardware installation such as rack and stack, cabling, labeling, and physical integration of servers, network, and storage systems
• Executing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system builds, configurations, and deployments across on-prem and hybrid environment.
• Providing hands-on support across infrastructure, assisting with server provisioning, network setup, and troubleshooting as needed
• Work collaboratively across teams, stepping in to support other staff and contribute across systems, endpoint, and infrastructure domains
• Operate in a flexible, multi-disciplinary role supporting both engineering and operational activities in physical server/network/storage environments

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 7+ years of Microsoft infrastructure administration experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure administration and engineering experience.
