Key Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities associated with following subsystems of power plant
• Transformers (for Excitation system and SFC)
• Excitation systems
• Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR)
• Static Frequency Converters (SFC)
• Metering systems
• Generator Control & Protection Relay Panel (GCRP)
• Technical & Engineering Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and understand:
• Design document for generator main section electrical systems and respective Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Calculation sheet
• Logic diagrams
• Protection philosophies
• Specifications and electrical engineering documents
• Site test procedure and site test report
• Perform engineering review and technical analysis related to:
• Generator protection systems
• Short circuit calculations
• Electrical coordination studies
• Apply relevant ANSI / IEEE standards including:
• IEEE 242
• IEEE 551
• Other applicable protection and power system standards
• Procurement & Vendor Coordination/Management
• Support procurement activities for electrical equipment such as:
• Review vendor documents, datasheets, drawings, and technical offers.
• Interact with EPC/End-user and obtain approval
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Project & Execution Support
• Perform contract specification review and gap analysis based on previous project experience.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities whenever required.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications.

• Desired Skills & Knowledge
• Good understanding of industrial electrical systems and power generation applications.
• Familiarity with IEC standards, especially for Asian and Middle East projects, will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle technical discussions with vendors and clients.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
