About the job
- A four-year Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Information Technology, or eight years of experience in IT engineering or IT security.
- At least one relevant security or architecture certification: Security+ Continuing Education (CE), CAP, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Leadership (GSLC).
- Eligibility to undergo a U.S. government security investigation and access classified information.
- Knowledge and experience in IT and newer and legacy technologies directly related to the required area of expertise.
- Provide technical knowledge and analysis of specialized applications and operational environments.
- Perform functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice for moderately complex problems.
- Apply functional-area principles, methods, advanced mathematical principles, and technical knowledge to task order requirements and difficult engineering and scientific problems.
- Assist senior consultants with analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for system improvement, optimization, development, and maintenance.
- Define, review, and enforce information security policies, standards, and guidelines for business operations and technology implementations.
- Identify IT security risks from technical and functional perspectives.
- Conduct technical security assessments, audits, penetration testing, and forensic IT functions.
- Configure and manage security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Coordinate and lead security project implementations.
