Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5–8 years of project management experience in facilities construction, renovation, or capital infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools, including Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, and budget management.
- Working knowledge of construction safety regulations, Management of Change processes, and commissioning protocols.
- Experience coordinating multi-trade contractors and managing subcontractor compliance.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours or weekends during critical periods.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all facility projects comply with established governance standards, design principles, and Management of Change requirements.
- Deliver facility upgrades, renovations, and expansion projects from design development through construction and final handover.
- Coordinate equipment installation and structured handoff to maintenance operations, ensuring maintainability is addressed during design and construction.
- Integrate environmental, health, and safety requirements into project design and construction execution, ensuring compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Deliver physical security system installations and infrastructure upgrades as components of capital project scopes.
- Incorporate operational resilience requirements into facility project scopes and manage contractor quality, safety compliance, and schedule performance.
- Incorporate resilience and business continuity requirements into facility project designs, including emergency system provisions.
- Lead project delivery through design development, construction management, system testing, and commissioning.
- Maintain project documentation, permit compliance, and regulatory approvals throughout all project phases.
- Coordinate project-specific training for operations and maintenance personnel before system handover.
- Control project budgets and forecasts, including cost tracking, change order approval, and expenditure reporting against approved appropriations.
- Improve project delivery performance by tracking schedule adherence, budget accuracy, and post-project lessons learned.
- Lead project teams comprising internal resources, design consultants, and construction contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, and facilities commissioning requirements.
- Experience with design-build and construction management at-risk delivery methods.
- Knowledge of LEED or other green building certification standards.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
