About the job
- ARRT registration in Radiology is required.
- A current Illinois Emergency Management Agency license is required.
- ARRT registration in Computed Tomography must be obtained within six months of hire.
- The role requires knowledge to provide age-appropriate care and understanding of growth and development for the patient populations served.
- The role requires the ability to assess and interpret patient-status data to identify needs and provide appropriate age-related care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- Perform CT procedures, including biopsy procedures, using accepted principles and practices.
- Accurately assess examination quality, appropriateness, and results.
- Explain procedures to educate patients.
- Complete entries in the computerized system.
- Assist with maintaining image files and other records.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Practice CT scan competencies based on current scientific knowledge.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work, as directed by the director.
- Two years of experience in computed tomography (CT) scanning is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of radiation protection, physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and pathology is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy, including word-processing software applications, is preferred.
