About the job
- ARRT registration in Radiology is required.
- A current Illinois Emergency Management Agency license is required.
- ARRT registration in Computed Tomography is required within six months of hire.
- Two years of experience in Computed Tomography scan is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of radiation protection, physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and pathology is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy, including word-processing software applications, is preferred.
- Knowledge is required to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- Ability to assess and interpret patient-status data to identify patient needs and provide appropriate age-related care is required.
- Perform CT procedures using accepted principles and practices.
- Perform CT examinations, including biopsy procedures.
- Assess examination quality, appropriateness, and results accurately.
- Educate patients by explaining procedures.
- Complete record entries in the computerized system.
- Assist in maintaining image files and other records.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Maintain CT-scan competencies based on current scientific knowledge.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the described work, as directed by the director.
