Senior Network Specialist - Cisco Nexus Platform, Juniper Devices
About the job
- Strong networking troubleshooting and network performance analysis skills.
- Good understanding of the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol suite.
- Strong understanding of Cisco WAN accelerators and Cisco wireless networking.
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols including Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol, Open Shortest Path First, Border Gateway Protocol, Quality of Service, Spanning Tree Protocol, Hot Standby Router Protocol, Resilient Packet Ring, Resilient Packet Ring Plus, and Stateful Switchover.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Quality of Service and router or switch redundancy and failover protocols including Hot Standby Router Protocol, Resilient Packet Ring, Resilient Packet Ring Plus, and Stateful Switchover.
- Experience handling and troubleshooting Cisco router and switch series including 2800, 3800, 7200, 6500, 3750, and 4500.
- Basic understanding of network operating systems.
- Understanding of Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System and Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service authentication, with working knowledge of Cisco Secure Access Control Server.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Cisco Voice.
- Hands-on experience with the Junos operating system and exposure to Juniper devices including EX-4200 and MX-480.
- Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library processes.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- Coordinate with vendors and manage escalations.
- Perform incident and problem management.
- Exposure to the Cisco Nexus platform, including N5K, N7K, and N2K devices.
