Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum of 15+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing process design for power products (UPS, DC power systems, or similar complex electronics) including experience in a leadership or project management capacity
  • Experience applying DFM/DFA and high-fidelity simulation modeling to reduce manufacturing costs and improve reliability in high-volume, international environments (proven launch track record)
  • Expert in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and advanced simulation tools (FlexSim, Arena, Simio, or AnyLogic)
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Lean manufacturing principles experience with Yamazumi (Work Balance) modeling, Kaizen events, and removal of process waste
  • Familiarity with ERP (SAP) and MES environments and ability to structure simulation-ready manufacturing metadata
  • Certification (preferred): Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing Certification, or Professional Engineering license
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish for global collaboration
  • Strong executive communication skills and ability to present ROI projections to senior leadership
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and cradle-to-grave lifecycle management of manufacturing projects
  • Travel willingness around 25%
Responsibilities
  • Up-Front Design Integration: Lead the New Product Introduction process by collaborating with R&D at the earliest design stages. Ensure manufacturing constraints, plant capabilities, and automation requirements are integrated into the product DNA before design freeze.
  • Synchronized Process Design & Bottleneck Neutralization: Drive operational excellence through rigorous Yamazumi modeling, ensuring all manufacturing processes are perfectly balanced to takt time. By neutralizing bottlenecks and bridging disconnected islands of automation, you will create a seamless, synchronized flow that eliminates process unevenness and waste, minimizing WIP and maximizing plant-wide throughput.
  • Data-Driven Simulation (DES): Oversee the translation of Yamazumi work-content data and line-balancing profiles into Discrete Event Simulation models. Capture granular process data—including MTBF, MTTR, and precise step-level cycle times—to virtually stress test the production environment and validate throughput targets before physical implementation.
  • Proactive DFM/DFA Leadership: Direct the execution of rigorous Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews. Act as the final gatekeeper for manufacturability, identifying assembly risks early to reduce engineering change orders (ECOs) post-launch.
  • Virtual Commissioning & Validation: Utilize simulation tools to perform What-If analysis on proposed line layouts, accounting for variable demand and supply chain lags. Oversee the selection and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) of manufacturing equipment specific to power electronics.
  • Root Cause & Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analysis for production issues using FMEA and Six Sigma. Establish a feedback loop where real-time plant floor data from BackEnd/ERP systems updates to feed into the simulation models for continuous optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Launch Orchestration: Drive alignment between global design centers and local plant operations. Serve as the technical management lead during the cradle-to-grave lifecycle to ensure a flawless handoff to production teams.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering best practices in Yamazumi modeling, DFM/DFA, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) or Data Analytics is highly preferred
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing process design for power products (UPS, DC power systems, or similar complex electronics) including leadership experience could be considered
  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing Certification, or Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred)
  • Experience with high-fidelity simulation modeling tools (FlexSim, Arena, Simio, AnyLogic)
  • Power electronics experience
  • Spanish language proficiency (bilingual) beyond required English

Vertiv raises 2026 guidance to $14.2B, completes $600M buyback amid AI data center demand

Vertiv Holdings reported stronger Q2 2026 results with higher revenue and net income year-over-year, completed its $599.84 million share repurchase programme, and raised full-year guidance. The company now expects 2026 net sales of $13.8 billion to $14.2 billion and diluted EPS of $5.82 to $5.92, citing AI data centre demand. In August, Bitzero Holdings announced a collaboration with Vertiv to support AI and high-performance computing data centre build-outs. The company is also scheduled to present at the OCP APAC Summit 2026 in Taipei. Analysts project Vertiv could reach $22.2 billion in revenue and $4.2 billion in earnings by 2029, requiring 27% annual revenue growth. However, some caution that dependency on large AI and hyperscale customers remains a key risk.

Vertiv drives regional skills across Ireland and north west.

Vertiv drives regional skills across Ireland and north west. Posted on Monday, August 10, 2026 - 12:45 Vertiv is planning to expand its manufacturing and testing footprint across Ireland and the north west, driven by growing global demand for infrastructure solutions supporting AI, colocation and hyperscale data centre deployments. The proposed project, supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland, will see Vertiv apply to Donegal County Council for an additional 7,000 square metres of space at its Letterkenny facility, supporting the planned creation of up to 300 new jobs in the region. The planned expansion will open opportunities for local talent, skills development and regional economic growth, and this latest milestone builds on Vertiv's established presence across Ireland and the north west. These include operations in Letterkenny, Burnfoot and Campsie (Derry), alongside its Central Procurement Office in Limerick and its sales and service office in Dublin. The company is actively recruiting across these sites for current organic growth. Vertiv has already taken on more than 500 employees across its local facilities since the beginning of 2026 and is continuing to recruit for a growing number of open positions, with new opportunities include multiple engineering and operational roles across the business. These positions will help expand manufacturing capacity while deepening Vertiv's technical expertise in power, cooling and industrialised infrastructure solutions that enable faster, more efficient deployment of AI, data centre, and critical industrial applications worldwide. Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD said: "Vertiv's decision to expand in Donegal and create hundreds of new skilled jobs is very welcome news for the region and for Ireland. Investments of this scale support balanced regional development, strengthen our enterprise base, and demonstrate the confidence international companies continue to place in Ireland as a location for long-term growth." Vertiv shares plunge 17% as revenue misses forecast by $110M amid supply chain issues

Pomerantz Law Firm is investigating potential securities fraud claims against Vertiv Holdings Co and certain officers or directors on behalf of investors. The investigation follows Vertiv's second-quarter 2026 financial results announced on 29 July 2026. The company reported net sales of $3.27 billion, missing the consensus estimate of $3.38 billion. Vertiv attributed the shortfall to "minor timing shifts" caused by temporary supply chain congestion and multi-phased project execution as deployments become larger and more complex. Following the announcement, Vertiv's share price dropped $46.52, or 17.26%, closing at $223.04 on 29 July 2026. Investors are advised to contact the law firm for information about joining a potential class action lawsuit.
