  • Professional experience in business development, sales, account management, customer success, or another customer-facing role with transferable commercial responsibilities.
  • Experience using structured analysis, market insights, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration to support customer, operational, project, or commercial objectives.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time based on business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Understand the solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) services markets and use customer, market, and internal data to prioritize business development opportunities consistent with short- and long-range commercial plans, including operations and maintenance (O&M), repowering, and restoration.
  • Support organic sales growth by identifying prospects, preparing for customer outreach, and developing relationships with new and existing customers over their full asset lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop creative solutions for maintenance and service opportunities for their solar and BESS assets, promoting long-term partnerships built on trust.
  • Capture customer feedback, competitive insights, and lessons learned, and translate them into recommendations to improve the sales process and Services offerings.
  • Support proposal development, pricing, deal reviews, negotiations, and contracting by coordinating inputs from internal capabilities and subject matter experts.
  • Partner with DEPCOM Business Development and cross-functional teams to deliver a coordinated customer experience and promote DEPCOM's One Source Solution philosophy.
  • Develop value-based proposals that align DEPCOM's differentiated capabilities with customer economic outcomes.
  • Participate in customer meetings, site visits, trade shows, and industry events to build relationships, strengthen market knowledge, and represent DEPCOM's capabilities and brand.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the power, renewable energy, utility-scale solar, BESS, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), O&M, industrial services, or another related technical industry.
  • Exposure to energy markets or customer types such as utilities, independent power producers, developers, or asset owners.
  • Experience supporting proposals, pricing analysis, commercial negotiations, contracts, or customer presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical products or services and communicate their value to customers.
  • Education and/or prior roles in business, engineering, finance, economics, marketing, or a related field.
