Requirements
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in selling, estimating, and managing multi-million-dollar Industrial Construction or Advanced Technology projects is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus 10 years of construction project experience is required; alternatively, five years of experience as an Electrical Foreman or General Foreman on large projects plus 10 years as a Project Manager is required.
  • Superior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods is required.
  • Proven experience managing projects with 100,000 or more man-hours is required.
  • Proven experience with heavy power distribution systems, instrumentation installation, process control, and system integration is required.
  • Thorough applied knowledge of project quality assurance and quality control procedures and system turnover is required.
  • Competency in labor, material, and contract management is required.
  • Competency in earned-value tracking, labor efficiency index, and crew composite factors is required.
  • Proven ability to complete detailed takeoffs and all required estimating for electrical projects is required.
  • Relevant experience in electrical subcontracting is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the project team and maintain overall accountability for successfully completing assigned construction projects.
  • Cultivate opportunities for future construction projects through customer service, safe work practices, quality assurance, and financially successful project delivery.
  • Supervise multiple Project Managers who manage multiple projects.
  • Manage up to $30 million of electrical construction projects or multiple large projects simultaneously.
  • Make decisions concerning project cost, time, and performance.
  • Maintain accountability for project planning, execution, job-cost tracking, and job closure.
  • Provide monthly project-status details and percentage-of-completion reports.
  • Monitor and control projects through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues.
  • Interface with contractors, vendors, and in-house operations.
  • Cross-sell other company operations through fully integrated solutions.
  • Support an injury-free work environment and safety culture.
