Job Description

As an Embedded Engineering Co-Op you will work with full-time employees and industry professionals improving existing products in an agile environment over 8 months from May 2025 - Dec 2025. This position requires you to take a semester off of school to work full time in this role for 8 months.

This job is an in-person role, in our Mayfield Heights, OH location.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop safety- and security-critical embedded software for new Programmable Logic Controllers

• Work in a variety of hardware and software environments, ranging from commercial off-the-shelf to custom System on Chip architectures, and from general purpose to embedded real-time operating systems

• Use modern continuous integration and development tools and technologies

• Participate as a member of an agile team within the Scaled Agile Framework

• Implement controller features and subsystems with technical guidance from senior engineering personnel

• Participate in all aspects of the embedded software quality process, including design and code review, and developing unit and functional testware

• Implement automated tests; expand and improve automated test coverage, practices, and procedures

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university

• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

• Co-op Requirement: Must be able to take the semester off of school and work full time from January 2025 - August 2025 in-person in Mayfield Heights, OH

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar.

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

• Experience using C++, C#, Java, Python

• Previous experience using agile methodology

• Industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming
