About the job

Requirements
  • The candidate must have 7–12 years of experience in supply chain and procurement at a company that makes physical products.
  • The candidate must have deep electronics and EEE sourcing experience, including PCBA supplier management, allocation and obsolescence risk, lifetime buys, low-volume MOQ negotiation, counterfeit avoidance, and traceability.
  • The candidate must have experience with production that is both high-rate and high-complexity, including recurring volume against deep, multi-level bills of materials with tight tolerances and substantial qualification work.
  • The candidate must have established a supply chain function from scratch or nearly from scratch at a startup or new site.
  • The candidate must have performed both strategic and operational supply chain work, including personally setting up a stockroom, kitting, or inventory operation.
  • The candidate must have a record of personally driving negotiations, supported by savings, discount structures, and lead-time reductions.
  • The candidate must have owned supplier quality, including audits, qualification, scorecards, and corrective action.
  • The candidate must have hands-on ownership of an ERP system such as NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, Epicor, Infor, or a similar system, including configuring rather than only using it.
  • The candidate must have substantial cross-functional experience with research and development, engineering, production, customer support, and customs.
  • The candidate must have U.S. Person status as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.62), because the role requires access to export-controlled technical data.
Responsibilities
  • Build and qualify a U.S. supply base by onboarding domestic suppliers across machining, electronics and PCBA, harnessing, composites, and long-lead equipment, while building resilience without compromising schedule or quality.
  • Own costs and protect margins by negotiating rate agreements, long-term agreements, and volume tiers; run competitive bid events; create vendor competition; drive should-cost analysis and year-over-year cost reductions; and provide design-to-cost feedback to engineering.
  • Reduce lead times for production parts and capital equipment through negotiation, scheduling agreements, and booked supplier capacity.
  • Adapt the European supply chain playbook for the United States, applying it where transferable and redesigning it to address U.S. regulation, tariffs, or ITAR/EAR requirements.
  • Establish the procurement function, including procurement policy, approval thresholds, contracts and terms and conditions, ERP/MRP configuration, and data hygiene.
  • Support proposal, contract execution, and production by gathering supplier quotes, schedules, and supporting documentation, and managing supplier adherence to costs and schedules.
  • Own supplier quality through supplier qualification and audits, first-article and PPAP-equivalent approval, scorecards and on-time-delivery and quality metrics, corrective action, and supplier development.
  • Establish and operate the warehouse and materials function, including facility layout, receiving and incoming inspection, stockroom control, work-order kitting, cycle counting and inventory accuracy, work-in-progress and consumables, and shipping.
  • Plan and execute sales and operations planning, demand and capacity planning, inventory targets, and on-time delivery as production rates rise.
  • Build and lead a team of three to five as volume justifies it, after personally proving the operating model.
  • Manage logistics and transportation planning to ensure goods are delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers across import, export, and domestic flows, and resolve operational issues.
  • Coordinate with Trade Compliance to ensure declarations, harmonized system codes, values, and shipping documentation are accurate, and logistics and customs records are archived according to company policy.
  • Keep Sales, Warehouse/Packaging, and Finance informed about order and shipment status.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in space, aerospace, defense, or another regulated, low-volume/high-complexity hardware sector.
  • Experience at a process-mature manufacturer with structured sourcing, category management, supplier quality systems, and formal contracting.
  • Working knowledge of ITAR/EAR and U.S. trade compliance.
  • Familiarity with dangerous-goods shipping and export-control regimes.
  • Oversight of more than $30 million in annual direct-material spend and experience leading a team of 3–15 people.

Vasilev highlighted the Ministry's key priorities: transforming the economy toward high-value-added products and services, making Bulgaria the best place in Europe to launch and grow a high-tech business by 2030 and providing targeted support for such innovative manufacturing and companies. He also emphasized the digital transformation of the administration, which entails the reorganization and restructuring of various processes. The meeting also underscored the importance of the memorandum signed during the International Space Summit in Paris between the Bulgarian space company EnduroSat and the French company Arianespace. Vasilev and Dumoulin also discussed the topic of technology transfer, the achievements of Bulgarian and French scientists, their developments, and the strengthening of the link between science and business to ensure that research results reach the market. Deputy Minister Mira Yosifova also took part in the meeting. She noted that, just days earlier in Paris, she had presented Bulgaria's progress, actions and initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Innovation and Growth to develop the country's space sector. EnduroSat becomes Bulgaria's second tech unicorn after Payhawk.

EnduroSat becomes Bulgaria's second tech unicorn after Payhawk. EnduroSat's logo atop an office building in Sofia (BTA Photo/Vladimir Shokov) 18.09.2026 20:51 Bulgarian space company EnduroSat has now been valued at more than USD 1 billion, making it the country's second tech unicorn after fintech company Payhawk, The Recursive reported. EnduroSat Marketing Director Boris Dimitrov told the media outlet that the company's valuation had "significantly exceeded USD 1 billion." The exact figure, however, will not be disclosed publicly. The confirmation comes after EnduroSat announced a USD 205 million (some EUR 178 million) funding round. The funds will be used to expand serial satellite production, build a new manufacturing facility in the United States, and develop the company's planned space and defence hub in Bulgaria. Payhawk congratulated the space company's team in a post on LinkedIn. "Huge congrats to the whole EnduroSat team for raising USD 205M and becoming Bulgaria's second unicorn. They're building satellites the way you'd build drones - assembled and tested in hours, not months," the fintech company said. Founded in 2015 by Raycho Raychev, EnduroSat develops standardized satellite platforms and offers the design, manufacturing, launch and operation of entire satellite constellations. According to the company, it has so far launched 103 satellites into orbit and delivered more than 200 spacecraft for missions worldwide. Payhawk became Bulgaria's first unicorn in March 2022. The company raised an additional USD 100 million, bringing the total size of its Series B round to USD 215 million and pushing its valuation above USD 1 billion. Founded in Sofia in 2018 by Hristo Borisov, Boyko Karadzhov and Konstantin Dzhengozov, Payhawk develops a platform for managing corporate expenses. It combines corporate cards, payments, invoice processing and corporate expense management.

Omnes Capital invests in EnduroSat's $205M round to scale next-generation space fleets.

Omnes Capital invests in EnduroSat's $205M round to scale next-generation space fleets. For immediate release - September 16, 2026 Round co-led by Riot Ventures and Atreides Management funds a new high-volume manufacturing facility in the United States and the EU's largest space and defense hub, on the way to space data at roughly $1 per gigabyte. EnduroSat, a space company building standardized, software-flexible satellites and a streamlined constellations-as-a-service model, has raised $205 million in a round co-led by Riot Ventures and Atreides Management, with backing from the European Innovation Council, Google Ventures, Founders Fund, House Capital, Lux Capital, Omnes Capital, Giant Ventures, Emphatic Capital & Endeavor Catalyst. Scaling serial production The capital will scale EnduroSat's satellite capabilities - moving to larger spacecraft in its ESPA-class FRAME line while pushing serial standardization further, producing satellites with the repeatability and volume of drones rather than one-off bespoke builds. Central to the raise: opening a new high-volume manufacturing facility in the United States and building the EU's largest space and defense hub. Re-industrialization of the EU and US has been at the core of EnduroSat's efforts. Driving the cost of space data to $1 per gigabyte The round is anchored by the company's ambition - driving the cost of space data down to roughly $1 per gigabyte, from hundreds of dollars per GB today. At that price, entirely new markets open up: small and medium enterprises can afford to build space data into their products and operations, turning space from an exclusive, capital-intensive domain into a profitable layer for virtually any business. Building on extensive flight heritage Already on track to become one of the largest satellite manufacturers in the world, EnduroSat has launched 103 satellites to orbit and delivered more than 200 for missions across the globe. The company is betting that standardization and radically cheaper space data will define the next era of the space economy. "The vision remains untouched: democratize access to space data. Our job is to empower the innovators at the final frontier - eliminating complexity and tedious supply chains, and making their services profitable from the get-go. Now it's time to scale things up a notch. I'd like to thank Riot, Atreides and all our investors for the vote of confidence as we keep building dramatically larger-scale space infrastructure." * Raycho Raychev, Founder & CEO, EnduroSat "Every large technology market of the last 50 years was driven by a cost curve. Space data still costs hundreds of dollars per gigabyte, and that price is the barrier to new applications and new markets. EnduroSat is attacking that number at the manufacturing layer, and at $1 per gigabyte the addressable market stops being the space industry and becomes every industry." * Gavin Baker, Founder, Managing Partner & CIO, Atreides Management "We back founders with a real technical advantage and the operational leadership to turn that advantage into manufacturing at scale. EnduroSat has already launched 103 satellites and delivered more than 200, and they're just getting started. With the EU's largest space and defense hub underway and a new manufacturing base being built in the United States, they're building the industrial capacity to meet the speed and scale this market now demands." - Stephen Marcus, Co-founder and Managing General Partner, Riot Ventures About EnduroSat EnduroSat is a space infrastructure builder that engineers, manufactures, and operates high-performance satellites, making space universally accessible for commercial and institutional customers across the globe. EnduroSat delivers end-to-end satellite missions - from mission design and payload integration to launch and in-orbit operations - through a fixed-cost, constellation-as-a-service model. EnduroSat serves 450+ customers globally and employs more than 350 space professionals across 7 locations worldwide. www.endurosat.com
