  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals and operations, including the control plane (API server, etcd, scheduler), kubelet and container runtime, networking/CNI, DNS, storage, and upgrades.
  • Experience with Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
  • Proficiency in Go; Python is a plus.
  • Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments.
  • Experience operating in at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP, or OCI) and in on-premises or custom data centers.

  • Serve as a primary responder for platform incidents during India hours by diagnosing complex node, networking, DNS, storage, and control-plane issues, driving them to resolution, and handing off cleanly across time zones.
  • Plan and execute cluster upgrades, add-on rollouts, and capacity changes end to end, including risk assessment, testing, and rollback planning.
  • Improve platform reliability by identifying recurring issues and technical debt, proposing fixes, and seeing them through.

  • Use AI technologies to streamline operational workflows, accelerate troubleshooting, and improve decision-making.
  • Write design documents, runbooks, and post-incident reviews that are clear to engineers, on-call responders, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor Engineer I and II team members through pairing, code review, and design review, and take part in interviewing new team members.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
  • Experience operating Kubernetes on bare metal.
  • Experience deploying microservices.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
  • Experience mentoring or onboarding other engineers.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams across time zones.
  • A bachelor's degree in an applicable field, such as Computer Science, CIS, or Engineering.

About the company

CrowdStrike builds cybersecurity software for organizations that need to protect computers, cloud workloads, identities and data from digital attacks. Its Falcon platform combines these defenses in one cloud system, using a lightweight sensor on devices to collect activity and detect suspicious behavior. Security teams investigate alerts and automate responses through a shared console, while the platform connects information from different parts of a business to reveal attacks that isolated tools miss. Customers pay subscription fees based on the products and assets covered, and CrowdStrike also charges for incident response services. CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 and is based in Austin, Texas.
