A high school diploma and/or equivalent vocational training is preferred.
Current DCJS registration or the ability to obtain it is required.
At least 2 years of experience in the electronics field, including commercial access control and CCTV, is required.
A technical background in CCTV/IP video systems, access control platforms, intrusion systems, and low-voltage electronics (5V–56V) is required.
Responsibilities
Install cabling and card readers; mount equipment, door contacts and strikes, intrusion detection equipment, CCTV equipment, and access control systems.
Apply a functional understanding of low-voltage systems and relays.
Use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate equipment failures and resolve performance issues.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other specifications.
Manage and maintain proper material inventory, follow established controls, and provide quality customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary This is not your average technician position! Elite Contracting Group is looking for an Electronic Security Technician to join one of the fastest-growing full-service security and resiliency solution integration companies in Virginia. The ideal candidate is responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting access control and CCTV equipment and systems. Work is performed out of our Virginia Beach, VA office in various interior and exterior locations and can require ladders, lifts, and bucket trucks.

Qualifications and Skills

Anticipated Hiring Range: $25 - $30 per hour with guaranteed hours, including overtime.
