Responsibilities
Provide school- and club-based tutoring at public school-based Boys & Girls Club sites in metro Nashville.
Support the Metro Nashville Public Schools Response to Intervention framework for elementary-level reading intervention and remediation.
Collaborate with school staff to problem solve when appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel throughout the metro Nashville area as required.

Bilingual ability, particularly Spanish, is a plus.
Title: Intern Tutor – RTI/READING
Reports to: Director of Education/RTI/Reading Specialist employment classification: ParT-Time Non-Exempt Job Summary: Tutor – Response to Intervention (RTI)/Reading Specialist is a part of the operations team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle TN (BGCMT). The Tutors are responsible for providing school and club based tutoring within metro Nashville public school-based Boys & Girls club sites. This position is designed to address students identified as approaching and/or below proficient who require additional support to reach district benchmarks and state requirements to meet or exceed expectations. This position is funded through a partnership grant. This position involves ongoing and collaborative effort with the Education Director-RTI/Reading Specialist at the BGMCT, BGC club site staff, school principals, and community advocates. This is a part-time position. Some travel throughout the metro Nashville area will be required.
Qualifications:
Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or a related discipline (e.g., school counseling, school psychology) is preferred

Bilingual, in Spanish a plus

Collaborate with school staff to problem solve when appropriate
