The expansion includes Sanford Williston's first full-time internal medicine physician, first full-time cardiology provider and first full-time pediatrician. 2026 - Coffee With Scott - Scott As A Leader Victor Adenuga, M.D., has joined Sanford Williston in internal medicine. Tanya Giese, APRN, CNP, is the clinic's first full-time cardiology provider, while Joe-Anne Lourens, M.D., is its first full-time pediatric provider. Crystal Christensen, APRN, CNP, also transitioned from Watford City to a full-time position in Williston while continuing to provide care in Watford City one day each week. Sanford has expanded specialty outreach in Williston to include pulmonology, neurosurgery and women's health. Patients can receive local care for respiratory and lung conditions as well as back, neck and spine conditions. Elizabeth Brown, M.D., an OB/GYN, began providing outreach services in Williston one week each month in September. Her services include routine and specialty obstetric and gynecologic care. "These additions represent one of the most significant expansions of healthcare access in Williston in recent years," said Jerilyn Kersten, clinic director at Sanford Williston. Sanford said it also plans to introduce local orthopedic services in Williston in 2027. Sanford Health: chief transformation officer to join Newsweek AI Health Summit. Tommy Ibrahim to share enterprise AI strategy during panel discussion with national healthcare leaders SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Tommy Ibrahim, M.D., MBA, MHA, executive vice president and chief transformation officer at Sanford Health, will join national healthcare and research leaders at the Newsweek AI Health Summit Sept. 23 in New York City. As health systems move beyond individual AI pilots, the summit will bring together leaders focused on the future of care and the responsible adoption of emerging technology. Ibrahim will bring Sanford's perspective as the nation's largest rural health system, with an integrated care and coverage model spanning rural, urban and suburban communities. A board-certified hospitalist, Ibrahim received his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Christopher's IMD College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, an academic affiliate of Johns Hopkins and is licensed in multiple states. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University and, a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Seton Hall University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow in Hospital Medicine.
