- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 2 years of automotive technician experience is required; dealership experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment is required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are required.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical service bulletins is required.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Technical or vocational training is preferred.
- ASE certification(s) or manufacturer certification(s) are preferred.
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Perform maintenance and service work according to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
- Communicate with Service Advisors about repair needs and timelines.
- Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing technical training.
- Dealership experience is preferred.
