About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain planning, ideally in FMCG, pharma, healthcare, or another regulated consumer-goods environment, with a track record of owning a category or function end-to-end.
  • Be a hands-on operator who can work in operational detail and strategy, design and build frameworks, negotiate with suppliers, and present to leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building procurement or planning frameworks, operating models, and processes from scratch.
  • Experience designing and running an S&OP process.
  • Experience managing or coaching others and developing less experienced team members.
  • Demonstrated commercial negotiation ability, including designing and delivering category strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian import, labelling, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work analytically with cost, margin, and inventory data.
  • Ability to translate commercial strategy into category plans and align multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-scaling, post-acquisition environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the Planning & Procurement operating model, including procurement governance, the S&OP cycle, links between inventory and demand signals and procurement decisions, and coordination with Commercial and Clinical priorities.
  • Design and lead the monthly S&OP cycle, bringing together commercial demand signals, inventory positions, supplier performance, and supply constraints, and ensure it produces decision-quality outputs for the Head of Supply Chain and Commercial stakeholders.
  • Work with the Supply & Product Planner to ensure inventory and supply planning inputs feed the S&OP cycle correctly and evolve the process as the business grows.
  • Partner with Commercial to translate its commercial strategy into an aligned category sourcing and negotiation strategy across product categories.
  • Define negotiation levers, including volume commitments, minimum order quantities, payment terms, and multi-year agreements, to secure competitive landed costs; leverage global supplier relationships while negotiating terms suited to Australian volumes, lead times, and market requirements.
  • Run structured quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers and track performance scorecards for quality, service, cost, and lead-time reliability.
  • Lead formal supplier performance improvement plans when suppliers fall short of agreed standards and feed supplier performance into the S&OP cadence.
  • Design a supply-risk framework covering single-source dependencies, lead-time volatility, import exposure, and biosecurity exposure.
  • Establish contracting standards, templates, and approval flows in partnership with Legal and Compliance; ensure products meet Australian labelling standards and ARTG-compliant requirements, and manage import duties and biosecurity obligations for inbound products.
  • Partner with Commercial and Clinical on new product lines and own procurement and supply readiness, including TGA/ARTG registration readiness from a supply standpoint, supplier onboarding, and launch stock planning.
  • Work with the Supply & Product Planner on operational execution of new product development while retaining strategic and commercial accountability.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Supply & Product Planner, set a development plan, and provide regular feedback.
  • Coach the broader team, set quality standards for sourcing and planning, and model inclusive ways of working with the team and cross-functional partners.

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with supply and demand planning is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with TGA/ARTG registration processes is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement systems is advantageous.
