James Wright promoted by UTA to Co-Head of UK Music.

James Wright promoted by UTA to Co-Head of UK Music. July 15, 2026 * Global talent agency UTA has promoted veteran agent James Wright to Co-Head of its UK Music department. * Wright will co-lead the London-based division alongside long-standing UK Co-Head Neil Warnock. * Wright's client list includes major global talent such as Lizzo, John Legend, and Jon Batiste. * The promotion aligns with UTA's ongoing expansion across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Global talent agency UTA has promoted London-based partner James Wright to Co-Head of UK Music. Wright will lead the department alongside long-standing UK Co-Head Neil Warnock. The move strengthens UTA's strategic footprint across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Wright joined UTA in 2015 after it acquired The Agency Group. His diverse roster includes major stars like Lizzo, Take That, John Legend, David Byrne, and Jon Batiste. Notably, Jon Batiste recently secured multiple Grammy nominations and is actively headlining international festivals. Meanwhile, Take That recently completed a massive, sold-out European stadium tour. This internal promotion reflects a wider trend of talent agency leadership shakeups in 2026, similar to when Kevin Shivers was promoted to Co-President of Music by The TEAM. Conversely, some agents have opted to exit major agencies, as seen when Brandon Liebman joined Range Media Partners from UTA earlier this year. Global Music Co-Heads Sam Kirby Yoh and David Zedeck emphasized that elevating Wright is key to their global touring ambitions. His promotion comes on the heels of being named a partner alongside fellow London music agent Jules de Lattre. This leadership update aligns with UTA's rapid expansion under London office head Darnell Strom, following the agency's strategic acquisitions of literary powerhouse Curtis Brown and ROOF Football. James Wright's promotion is a clear signal that UTA is doubling down on London as its primary tactical base for European and global expansion. By pairing a modern, genre-fluid partner like Wright with a legendary industry pioneer like Neil Warnock, UTA is bridging the gap between traditional touring expertise and contemporary, multi-hyphenate artist development. This internal promotion also serves as a talent-retention strategy during a highly competitive year of agency poaching and partner migrations. Will the dual-leadership structure of Warnock and Wright accelerate UTA's market-share acquisition of European festival bookings over rivals like CAA and WME? How will Wright's background in 360-degree artist contracts influence how UTA structures future deals for emerging UK talent?

UTA partners on new digital insights tool for creators, brands (exclusive).

UTA partners on new digital insights tool for creators, brands (exclusive). The Hollywood agency bets AI-generated insights from a Coactive AI deal will allow creator clients and brands its represents to tell new stories in new ways. June 23, 2026 8:00am United Talent Agency has partnered with Coactive AI on a new artificial intelligence tool to allow creator and brand marketing clients to tell new stories in new ways. The major agency will use Coactive AI's information analysis tool to better process and identify content across emerging digital platforms - including views and likes of video and images - to drive more precise audience connection and content performance measurements. UTA Creators will roll out the proprietary AI tool - which aims to process and analyze different types of unstructured online information like text, images, audio and video online - to creators and brand partners starting in fall 2026. UTA will use the new AI platform to build on its own proprietary intelligence tools to show creators and brands what content performs and, more crucially, why. UTA is betting the AI partnership will allow its creator clients across sports, fashion, food, lifestyle and news to tell stories in new ways and with greater audience reach and resonance, and take some of the guesswork out of the process. "Creators generate an enormous amount of cultural signal, but most analytics today still only tell you what happened, not why it resonated. Our partnership with Coactive changes that. UTA will give our clients unprecedented visibility into the themes, emotions, and creative patterns that drive connections across platforms, so brands can engage talent in ways that feel smarter and more authentic, and talent can build their businesses with more intelligence," Oren Rosenbaum, partner and co-head of UTA Creators, said in a statement. The Coactive AI collaboration is UTA's latest bet on the emerging creator economy, where audience-first storytelling by digital creators has reshaped how Hollywood content is discovered, financed, developed and monetized. Besides giving its creator clients more insight into content they produce, the AI tool partnership aims to allow brands and marketing agencies to better select talent for product campaigns based on a creative fit rather than social media platform reach alone. "Coactive's multimodal AI analyzes the themes, emotions, and moments within content at a scale and granularity no manual process can match. With UTA, we're bringing that to the creator economy for the first time, giving creators real insight into their own creative resonance and giving brands a fundamentally better way to find authentic partnerships. The future of talent selection will be defined by what creators actually produce, not just how many people follow them," Cody Coleman, CEO and co-founder of Coactive AI, said in a statement. News of UTA's AI partnership comes as the agency marks 20 years of investing in the now fast-growing creator economy, including in high profile players like bloggers, TikTok creators, VTubers and podcasters and has its biggest ever presence at the Cannes Lions event in the south of France. UTA launches Culture Index to measure brands' cultural impact at Cannes Lions 2025

United Talent Agency has launched the Culture Index, which it describes as a first-of-its-kind measurement system quantifying cultural significance for brands. The tool was unveiled at Cannes Lions 2026, where UTA is having its largest presence to date. The index measures three factors: reach, resonance and relevance. Reach tracks metrics including social following, press mentions and revenue. Resonance evaluates year-over-year growth across these metrics. Relevance assesses human perception of cultural significance through qualitative research. UTA's inaugural report analysed 10,000 brands across 44 industries and 49 data signals. Software and platform companies ranked as the most culturally relevant industry, followed by video games, financial technology, broadcasting and streaming, and fashion and apparel. The agency says consumers are significantly more likely to engage with brands they perceive as culturally relevant.
