Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate production activities across 12-hour shift crews to achieve safety, quality, environmental, and operational objectives.
  • Supervise, coach, and support production employees while promoting employee engagement and accountability.
  • Monitor plant performance and implement solutions to improve productivity, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and established operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operational teams to optimize plant performance and resolve production challenges.
  • Conduct regular plant inspections and maintain a field presence while interacting with production personnel.
  • Work outside standard business hours occasionally to support operational needs.

It said the measure also forms part of the continuing optimisation of its European production network, with clinker supply being adapted to market requirements and greater emphasis placed on higher-value cements with lower clinker contents. The proposed closure would affect 87 employees. Its production facilities are located near Lima and Pisco, providing access to major markets and ports for importing intermediate materials. Heidelberg Materials intends to integrate the business with its global trading and production network. The acquisition is described as asset-light because Cementos Inka's grinding operations depend on imported intermediate products rather than integrated domestic clinker production. Based on Cementos Inka's anticipated 2026 EBITDA, the transaction is valued at a multiple of approximately six times. Heidelberg Materials expects it to be accretive to its financial performance from the first year. The transaction is not subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by October 2026.
