Responsibilities
  • Represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes, and real estate litigation.
  • Appear in state and federal court for routine and contested hearings.
  • Review incoming litigation and develop case strategy.
  • Draft documents and conduct settlement negotiations.
  • Manage a caseload of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
  • Appear in court and argue motions required to complete foreclosure, eviction, title curative and title dispute, homeowners association and condominium owners association, and other matters.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding updates and case resolution.
  • Analyze loan files, title reports, and other client documents.
  • Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses.
  • Attend trials.
  • Conduct legal research and writing.
Desired Qualifications
  • One to eight years of relevant litigation experience is preferred.
  • One to eight years of motion practice experience is preferred.
  • One to eight years of courtroom experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Georgia Mortgage Foreclosure Law is helpful but not required.
  • Previous experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property is a plus.
