Requirements
A current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina is required.
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required within six months of hire.
Recent critical care and/or medical-surgical experience is required.
Employees must comply with health and safety policies, including vaccination requirements; approved exemptions are considered.
Candidates must successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening after the offer.

Responsibilities
Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to clinical changes.
Perform comprehensive assessments for patients across the lifespan.
Safely administer medications using electronic medical record systems.
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to abnormalities.
Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and specialized treatments.
Provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant patient care environment.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Desired Qualifications
Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is preferred.

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse in the Monitor Bed Unit (MBU) provides direct, patient-centered care utilizing clinical expertise, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice. This role involves continuous patient monitoring, timely intervention, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to clinical changes

Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and specialized treatments

Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (CPR) – required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred
Experience: Recent Critical Care and/or Medical-Surgical experience required
