Eaton expands Power Quality partner ecosystem in PH.

Eaton expands Power Quality partner ecosystem in PH. The expanded ecosystem strengthens Eaton's ability to support customers across a broader range of applications, from data centers and telecommunications to branch offices, server rooms and edge sites. 5 hours ago Eaton, an intelligent power management company, today announced the appointment of AWS Distribution Phils.,Corp (AWS), DataShield OEM Solutions, Inc and Touchcore Solutions, Inc. (Touchcore) as Tier 1 Solution Partners in the Philippines. The expanded ecosystem strengthens Eaton's ability to support customers across a broader range of applications, from data centers and telecommunications to branch offices, server rooms and edge sites. As digital services and data-intensive applications continue to expand in the Philippines, demand for reliable power and IT infrastructure is extending beyond large-scale data center projects to more distributed environments. Branch offices, server rooms and edge sites, for example, require power protection and IT infrastructure that can be deployed efficiently and supported locally. Eaton is expanding its partner ecosystem to address this broader opportunity, bringing together established solution providers with complementary capabilities and customer reach across different applications. AWS, DataShield and Touchcore each have a distinct focus within Eaton's portfolio, spanning UPS systems, Micro Data Centers and white space infrastructure. Through these collaborations, customers can access Eaton solutions directly through these three direct resellers, and the resellers can receive greater support from Eaton to develop and deliver solutions for their customers. The collaboration is further supported by Eaton's technical expertise, solution development resources and go-to-market enablement, helping these resellers to expand its capabilities and better support customers across data center, enterprise IT and other mission-critical infrastructure projects. AWS: Extending UPS access from everyday applications to larger infrastructure AWS will broaden Eaton's reach in the Philippines across single-phase and three-phase UPS solutions from 1 kVA to 200 kVA. This will support a wide range of power protection requirements across commercial and IT environments. The collaboration also creates opportunities to work together on larger three-phase UPS projects above 200 kVA as customer requirements grow. "Customers who need a UPS often need it quickly, whether they are responding to a power protection gap or preparing a new site for operations. With Eaton products available through our channel in the Philippines, we can respond faster and have the right solutions on hand when customers need them. As their infrastructure grows, the relationship also gives us a strong foundation to pursue larger and more complex UPS projects together," said Trina Buling, Vice President - Data Center Solutions Team, AWS Distribution Phils.,Corp. DataShield: Bringing integrated infrastructure to distributed IT environments For DataShield, the focus is on Eaton's Micro Data Center (MDC) solutions, bringing integrated infrastructure to customers deploying IT in locations where space and deployment time can be constraints. The offering is particularly relevant to organizations looking to establish localized or edge computing environments without the footprint of a conventional data center. "Many of our customers, such as provincial hospitals and regional offices, need a proper IT environment but do not have the room or resources for a traditional data center setup. Eaton's Micro Data Center solutions bring the essential infrastructure together in a compact package, making them well suited to these kinds of sites. It gives our customers a more practical way to put reliable IT infrastructure in place, without having to build everything from the ground up," said Don Membrano, Co-founder and General Manager, DataShield. Touchcore: Supporting the physical infrastructure behind the IT environment Touchcore's collaboration with Eaton enhances its capability to provide comprehensive data center physical infrastructure solutions across the Philippines. Through Eaton's IT racks and rack PDUs, combined with Touchcore's local engineering expertise, customers can deploy organized, scalable and efficient IT environments that support evolving digital infrastructure needs and long-term business growth. "Our partnership with Eaton strengthens Touchcore's ability to deliver reliable and scalable data center infrastructure solutions. By combining Eaton's IT racks and rack PDUs with our local engineering expertise, we can help customers build IT environments that are efficient, organized and ready for future growth," said CON S. JULIAN, President & CEO, Touchcore Solutions, Inc. "The Philippines has a real opportunity to build on the momentum in digital infrastructure, but it is important that the infrastructure being put in place today can keep up with what comes next. Power is a big part of that, especially with businesses deploying more digital services and more demanding IT environments. That is where our partners play a critical role," said Pamela Albar, Country Manager, Electrical Sector, Philippines, Eaton. "Our expanded partner ecosystem gives us a stronger presence in the market and helps us reach customers across different applications. AWS Distribution Phils., Corp, DataShield and Touchcore each bring a different set of capabilities to the table, and we look forward to building on those strengths to support customers across the Philippines."

Eaton announces combined Megawatt Charging System charge box to be displayed at The Battery Show.

Eaton announces combined Megawatt Charging System charge box to be displayed at The Battery Show. October 10, 2026 SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Intelligent power management company Eaton will showcase its combined Megawatt Charging System (MCS) charge box at The Battery Show, Oct. 12-15, 2006, at Huntington Place in Detroit. This high-power flexible charging solution is designed to help commercial vehicle manufacturers and fleets optimize charging performance, safety and vehicle utilization. The system supports charging at up to 2,000 amps and is compatible with both Combined Charging System (CCS) Combo and MCS standards. Its flexible architecture enables commercial vehicle manufacturers to tailor charging configurations to specific vehicle platforms and operating needs. "Charging isn't just about peak power - it's about how efficiently you deliver energy over time," said Ben Karrer, director, Power Distribution and Protection, Eaton's Mobility segment. "The real value comes from balancing speed, cost and flexibility based on how the vehicle is used." As commercial fleets transition from diesel to battery electric vehicles, charging speed is increasingly important. While faster charging reduces vehicle downtime and increases vehicle utilization, higher power levels present challenges involving battery performance, thermal management, electrical protection and system cost. Battery temperature, capacity and chemistry can affect how quickly a vehicle can accept energy. Higher current also generates additional heat in connectors, cables and other electrical components. At megawatt power levels, charging systems must safely manage higher fault currents, making coordinated power distribution and protection critical to system design. Eaton's combined MCS charge box accommodates a range of commercial vehicle applications. Its modular architecture can be configured with an integrated MCS port and up to two CCS ports, providing flexibility for both new vehicle platforms and retrofit applications. Megawatt charging supports demanding commercial applications, particularly those with limited charging windows. However, not every fleet requires megawatt-level charging. Aligning charging capability with vehicle use helps customers balance charging performance with infrastructure and equipment costs. "Faster charging creates flexibility, but it has to make economic sense," Karrer said. "Our goal is to help customers find the right balance - delivering the performance they need without overbuilding or overspending." Eaton's combined MCS charge box is part of the company's broader portfolio of electrification technologies designed to support commercial vehicles with scalable power distribution, protection and charging solutions.
