Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least three years of experience in mechanical inspection, dimensional metrology, or quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards and their application.
  • Thorough knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring equipment and their methods of use.
  • Demonstrated ability to program and operate automated inspection systems, including coordinate measuring machines, vision inspection systems, optical comparators, and related metrology equipment.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Participate on cross-functional project teams during design and development to establish and define quality requirements for new or revised products.
  • Develop, establish, and qualify methodologies for mechanical inspection methods, including creation of necessary inspection procedures.
  • Create setup fixtures and programs for automated and non-contact inspection equipment, including coordinate measuring machines, SmartScope, and Keyence equipment.
  • Coordinate and perform Measurement System Analysis as required.
  • Perform routine inspections as required.
  • Serve as a technical lead for inspection-related problem solving, investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in supplier qualification activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
