Cardamom secures minority investment from Valspring Capital to expand health IT services

Cardamom, a Madison-based health IT professional services company, has secured a minority investment from Valspring Capital. The company specialises in data, analytics, AI and electronic health record services for healthcare providers and payers. Founded in 2021, this marks Cardamom's second funding round following a 2024 investment from HealthX Ventures and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. The investment will expand Cardamom's advisory services and managed services offerings. Valspring co-founder Yumin Choi, a healthcare investor with nearly 20 years' experience and former Bain Capital Ventures partner, will join Cardamom's board. The company uses a team-based, AI-first approach to help healthcare organisations improve care quality whilst reducing costs. Cardamom also focuses on training team members without prior health IT experience.
