Permissionless nature leads to fragmentation of meaning
Decentralization leads to too many standards
Immutability leads to exponential data + query infrastructure complexity
Neutrality means that no one is accountable for interpretations
Blockchain data is public. It is not usable at institutional scale. Despite being open, blockchain data is fragmented, hard to interpret, and painful to maintain. Even a simple question like “Who are the largest Ethereum token holders over time?” can require running nodes, ingesting full chain history, decoding contracts, cleaning edge cases, and writing complex SQL.
They are built for consensus and execution, not searchability, standardization, or financial interpretation. Blockchains are computers, not databases. Every protocol defines its own schema. The same economic action can be encoded in dozens of different ways. The result:
Fragmented standards
Exponential complexity
No accountability for interpretation
Events without economic meaning
Finance cannot operate on that, it needs an effective system of record.
Allium ingests, verifies, and standardizes data across 140+ blockchains and 30+ petabytes of history. We close four structural gaps that prevent blockchains from becoming systems of record:
Semantic Gap: Translating raw events into financial concepts like payments, trades, deposits, and staking income
Standardization Gap: Mapping thousands of protocols into a single canonical cross chain schema
Infrastructure Gap: Read optimized, globally distributed data at web scale
Accountability Gap: Auditable methodology, SLAs, and SOC 1 and 2 compliance
The result is a neutral, canonical data layer institutions can build on with confidence.
Stablecoins, tokenized assets, trading, staking, and lending are growing rapidly. Institutions need a trusted source of truth for onchain financial activity, just as they rely on Bloomberg or DTCC in traditional markets. Raw blockchains cannot serve that role.
As AI agents begin transacting autonomously, the requirement becomes even stricter. Agents cannot reason over raw event logs. They need structured data, attribution, condition checks, and auditability.
Allium is the read layer that makes onchain finance usable for humans and machines.
Allium powers three core personas with the same canonical data foundation:
1. Finance, Accounting, and Risk Teams They need reliable, audit grade answers. They rely on Allium for financial reporting, reconciliation, compliance, risk monitoring, and defensible metrics that can stand up to auditors and regulators.
2. Engineers and Product Teams They need low latency, production ready infrastructure. They use Allium to power wallets, trading systems, payment rails, staking infrastructure, and real time applications that cannot break.
3. Strategy, Research, and Executive Teams They need clarity and insight. They use Allium to understand ecosystem economics, market structure, user behavior, competitive dynamics, and where capital is flowing onchain.
And of course...agents 🦞. Our customers and users include Visa, Stripe, G-SIB Banks, Big 4 Accounting firms, BCG, Coinbase, Phantom, Uniswap and cited by the Federal Reserve.

Obsessiveness - The best people at Allium cannot put a problem down once they pick it up. We care more about the work than is strictly rational. Institutions trust us because our data is right. Right means caring about the small things. The decoded contract that ships with one wrong field. The label that is 99% accurate but wrong on the address that matters. The query that runs in 4 seconds when it should run in 400 milliseconds. Most companies tolerate these. We do not.
Obsessiveness shows up as depth of care. It is not measured in hours worked or visible effort. You should feel something physical when work ships half-right. That instinct is what we hire for.
Pro Athlete Mindset - Consistency. Day in and day out, in pursuit of excellence. A win yesterday does not guarantee (or even imply!) a win tomorrow. I hope anyone who supports a failing sports team will feel the pain (cough Man United fans) of inconsistency
Figure It Out & Extreme Ownership - Every day is unexplored territory. There are new engineering frameworks, new legal docs, new compliance, new sales, new regulations, and new operational procedures every single day. If you don’t know it, learn it. If you can’t learn it, find someone or a product that does it. If you can’t find someone, find someone who can find someone. It is never a lack of resources, but lack of resourcefulness.
High Agency - (One of) the highest commonalities between all successful people is their responsiveness. Most successful billionaire CEOs still reply to emails within minutes (within working hours). And when you reply, respond fast with effective solutions - and even better, resolutions. If you’re looking for a superpower, you can’t go wrong with responsiveness. Well of course this doesn't make sense when you're an engineer coding in flow, but in general high agency of problem solving gets one very far in life
Leading from the Front - No one is going to listen (and adopt) your suggestion unless you lead by example. It’s one thing to say We need to do XYZ this better & it’s another thing to build an MVP and say “This is the way we should do things”. The proof of work and momentum goes a long way.
Strong Opinions On the Future (loosely held) - It is okay to be wrong, but what is not okay is not to have an idea of how a better future should be. Alliumites take pride in trying to improving everything about the company all the time.
Sense of (Allium) business smell - There are number of folks who live to eat at Allium, but the Allium smell we are talking about is that we love folks who naturally want to know why and how the work they are doing builds leverage for their teammates and also relates to the business goals
We invite people of all backgrounds (https://www.allium.so/about). We have engineers who learnt coding much later in life, who learnt coding on the side, we have engineers who are still in school and we also have engineers who went to the top schools (CMU, Stanford, UIUC, UPenn, Oxford, NUS, Cornell), all are welcome if one comes in with a curious mind and an infectious work ethic.
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D insurance - US folks get 100% coverage for Gold plans, 80% for dependents
Ownership - Meaningful early-stage equity. Every full-time employee receives a stock option grant so you can share directly in Allium's upside
Time off - Flexible, trust-based paid time off. We encourage people to take the rest they need. In every country we hire, our policies meet or exceed local statutory vacation requirements
Retirement - Company sponsored 401(k) plan in US so you can save pre-tax for the long term
All applicants have to answer this pop quiz: "What is an Allium? What is your favorite Allium?". Bonus points for the right pronunciation.

Bloomberg launches stablecoin dashboard. Posted by Colin Lambert. Last updated: October 1, 2026 Bloomberg has launched a stablecoin dashboard on the Terminal powered by data from Allium, a blockchain data platform for enterprises, the new service gives market participants onchain stablecoin data alongside existing fixed income, FX and money market tools. The firm observes that stablecoins now account for more than $300 billion in circulating supply and have become core infrastructure connecting digital asset markets to traditional finance, from settlement and cross-border payments to demand for short-dated US Treasuries. It adds that until now, tracking that activity has meant working with a patchwork of blockchain explorers and analytics sites. To meet this, Bloomberg says the dashboard covers every stablecoin with more than $100 million in circulating supply - collectively more than 98% of the market - along with select smaller and non-US-dollar-pegged stablecoins. The dashboard presents stablecoin data in the same format Terminal users apply to traditional market data. The default view compares covered stablecoins side by side on supply, mints, burns, transfer volume and velocity, with current data updated hourly and historical series updated daily. Users can drill into individual stablecoins to see activity across different blockchain networks, switch the view to analyse activity by network, or filter assets by peg type, including fiat currencies, commodities and other stablecoins. The collaboration with Allium marks "a meaningful expansion" of Bloomberg's onchain data capabilities, the firm continues, noting that it brings blockchain-native data into the Terminal and integrates it within the workflows institutional investors already use "Stablecoins are becoming an increasingly important part of institutional digital asset markets, particularly as firms explore how cash and assets can move within tokenised financial infrastructure," says Matthew Parkinson, global head of digital assets product at Bloomberg. "Our focus is on giving clients the same rigour, transparency and integration they expect from Bloomberg across traditional markets. Bringing comprehensive onchain data into the Terminal is an important part of that, and we expect to continue expanding the data and analytics available to clients as these markets continue to develop."

Bloomberg has supported digital asset markets for over a decade, providing pricing and analytics for 50 cryptocurrencies. The dashboard is available to all Bloomberg Terminal users.
New open-source Stablecoin Tracker maps global usage and regulatory rules across 200 jurisdictions. EY-Parthenon, Allium, STRIDE, Firmshift, and Stablecoin Insider have launched Stablecoin Tracker, an open-source observatory that maps on-chain activity against macroeconomic indicators and regulatory frameworks. For fintech professionals, this tool provides a standardized method to distinguish between speculative blockchain noise and actual cross-border economic utility across more than 200 jurisdictions globally. What was announced. The Stablecoin Tracker is a live, open-source platform designed to provide institutional-grade transparency into how private digital currencies move value across international borders. Developed as a sibling project to the established CBDC Tracker, the platform is hosted at stabletracker.org and its entire codebase is public on GitHub. The initiative was convened by Igor Mikhalev of EY-Parthenon to address a critical gap in the market: the lack of a shared, country-level picture of where stablecoins function as money versus where they are simply used for speculative trading. The observatory functions by combining Allium's institutional-grade blockchain data and attribution layer with official macroeconomic datasets, including population, GDP, remittance, and services-import series. It also integrates STRIDE's country-level regulatory taxonomy. This allows the platform to generate a ranked table based on a specific metric: outbound international corridor volume divided by a country's period GDP. To ensure accuracy, the system uses Allium's attributed data to filter out exchange hops, decentralized exchange (DEX) activity, infrastructure flows, Miner Extractable Value (MEV), and short-term routing that typically inflates headline blockchain volumes. The platform offers country-specific briefings that stack usage data, corridor direction, and local rules on a single page. It covers more than 200 jurisdictions, mapping regulatory stages, specific licenses, and reserve-type permissions. The data is updated monthly, with snapshots preserved so that historical performance remains accessible after each new synchronization. The methodology is governed by a public paper, Measuring stablecoin usage, corridors, and regulation, which defines every headline metric used by the tracker. "A fat corridor into a jurisdiction with no framework is a different operating environment from a thin corridor into MiCA. We already publish stage, licenses and reserve-type rules as the law moves. Joining that to observed usage is the layer banks, issuers and compliance teams have been missing. 'Can you operate there' and 'is anyone using it' are two questions. This product holds both." The companies involved. EY-Parthenon is the global strategy consulting arm of EY, focusing on emerging technologies and corporate strategy. Igor Mikhalev, who convened the project, serves as Partner and Europe West Head of Emerging Technologies Strategy at the firm. Allium is an institutional-grade blockchain data provider that specializes in providing clean, attributed data for financial institutions. The company has established itself as a key player in the data infrastructure space, focusing on separating "noise" from real economic activity on-chain. STRIDE provides the regulatory intelligence layer for the project, maintaining a comprehensive tracker of stablecoin-specific rules and licensing requirements across hundreds of jurisdictions. Firmshift acts as the engineering partner for the initiative, having previously served the same role for the CBDC Tracker project. Firmshift manages the application, metric code, and monthly synchronization jobs that keep the observatory live. Stablecoin Insider, led by CEO Chiara Munaretto, provides analysis and media context, focusing on the nuances of remittance rails and treasury flows within the digital asset ecosystem. What FF News has reported before. FF News has closely followed the growth of the institutional stablecoin market and the infrastructure supporting it. In July 2026, Ascento Capital reported that Allium Secures $40M Series B to Scale Blockchain Data for Institutional Finance, a significant follow-up to their Series A raise of $16.5 million in 2024. Its coverage has also highlighted the increasing integration of stablecoins into traditional finance, such as when Coinbase and Spiko Launch Europe's First Stablecoin-Funded UCITS Mutual Funds. Additionally, Ascento Capital has tracked ecosystem developments like Tron Inc.'s pursuit of Super Representative status to deepen its DAO integration, reflecting the broader trend of institutionalizing blockchain networks. What this means. The launch of the Stablecoin Tracker signals a shift in the industry from "vanity metrics" to "utility metrics." For years, the sector has relied on total transaction volume, which is easily manipulated by wash trading and automated bots. By filtering for real economic activity and mapping it against GDP, this project puts immense pressure on blockchain networks that claim high adoption but lack genuine economic throughput. It also highlights the growing divide between jurisdictions that have implemented clear frameworks, like MiCA in Europe, and those where high usage exists in a regulatory vacuum. This transparency will likely force issuers to be more selective about the corridors they support as compliance teams gain better tools to monitor cross-border flows. Featured speakers.
Allium brings onchain data to Perplexity Computer. Allium is partnering with Perplexity to bring Allium's onchain data directly into Perplexity via new MCP connector for Perplexity Computer, its agentic platform for multi-step research and analysis. Allium is partnering with Perplexity to bring Allium's onchain data directly into Perplexity through a new MCP connector for Perplexity Computer, its agentic platform for multi-step research and analysis. That means financial professionals can ask the questions they already care about and use Allium's data to understand what's happening onchain. Questions like: Where is perps open interest concentrated today? Which stablecoins saw the largest supply changes this week, and who's holding them? Which companies are issuing tokenized funds onchain, and how fast is that supply growing? Instead of finding the right dataset, writing a query, and interpreting the results separately, users can start with the question they actually want answered. Bringing onchain markets into the research workflow. More financial activity is moving onchain, from stablecoins and payments to tokenized assets and new market structures. For financial professionals, the challenge isn't accessing the blockchain. The data is public. The challenge is turning billions of raw transactions into information they can actually use. Allium does that by indexing, decoding, labeling, and normalizing onchain activity across 150+ chains, providing a consistent data layer for financial analysis. Allium is SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliant, with data already used by institutions including Visa and Grayscale. With the new connector, that infrastructure becomes accessible directly through Perplexity Computer: ask the financial question, and Perplexity can use Allium to retrieve the underlying onchain data and synthesize the answer. "Onchain data may be public, but making it useful still requires specialized infrastructure and expertise. By bringing Allium's normalized data into Perplexity Computer, financial professionals can ask the questions they care about in plain language and get answers grounded in the underlying onchain record. Computer and Allium are connecting trusted data with agentic research so people can move from question to insight faster." - Jeff Grimes, Product Manager for Perplexity Computer Data agents can rely on. As financial research becomes increasingly AI-assisted, getting an answer quickly is only part of the equation. You also need confidence in the data behind it. That makes the underlying data layer (its coverage, definitions, methodology, and provenance) increasingly important. Allium was built to provide that foundation: normalized onchain data with the infrastructure and methodology required for institutional workflows. It's the same principle behind its broader approach to financial data: the interface can change, but the underlying record still needs to be reliable. The integration can also return links back to the underlying Allium data, giving users a path from an AI-generated answer back to its source. Getting started. The Allium connector is available in Perplexity Computer, bringing Allium's onchain data directly into Perplexity's research experience.
How big is stablecoins' share of cross-border payments? A new FXC Intelligence + Allium report. FXC Intelligence and Allium partnered on a first-of-its-kind report measuring stablecoins' share of the cross-border payments market, built on Allium's Real-World Payments data covering ~2.1 billion transactions. FXC Intelligence and Allium have published a first-of-its-kind report measuring how much of the global cross-border payments market now runs on stablecoins. Written by Lucy Ingham, VP of Research at FXC Intelligence, and released on July 30, 2026, it pairs FXC Intelligence's cross-border payments data with Allium's on-chain data to put a real number on stablecoin adoption. What the report covers. The report quantifies stablecoins' share of cross-border payments and breaks adoption down by use case (B2B, B2C, C2C, C2B) and geography. It finds stablecoins accounted for roughly 0.31% of $44.3 trillion in retail cross-border payments volume in 2025, up from 0.2% in 2024. Consumer-involved transactions showed meaningfully higher adoption than business-only transfers, with C2C at 0.95% and B2C at 0.89%. Stablecoin volume grew about 64% year over year, against 9% growth for fiat. How Allium contributed. The on-chain side of the analysis draws from Allium's Real-World Payments layer, which covers around 2.1 billion transactions between 2024 and 2026 year to date. To isolate genuine cross-border payments, the analysis filtered out non-payment activity, excluded exchange deposits, and used geotagged data across Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Solana, and Tron. Why it matters. Stablecoin adoption in payments has been easy to assert and hard to size. Bringing together a cross-border payments data leader and an on-chain data provider gives the market a defensible, methodology-backed baseline rather than a headline estimate. It is a clear example of Allium's payments data underpinning research that institutions and analysts can actually cite.
