Air Charter Service promotes Simo Nkosi to Private Jets Director, Africa. 26 august 2026 glenn phillips. Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has promoted the experienced Simo Nkosi to Private Jets Director of its African operation. Lyndee du Toit, CEO of ACS Africa, said: "Simo joined its Johannesburg office almost 10 years ago, and has shown in that time great leadership skills as a manager and is well-respected for his knowledge in the region. As its private jets team in Africa continues to grow, Simo's experience greatly benefits its newer charter consultants. "In this newly formed role, he will oversee the further growth of our private jets business in Africa, implementing a strategy to grow the team even further and cement our position as the number one private jet specialist on the continent." Simo added: "I'm excited to get started running the division - it is an exciting time for the team, as we grew our revenue by more than 50% last year and we are having a strong 2026 so far - I am looking forward to taking us to the next level."

Air Charter Service promotes Max Vas to Cargo Director of its Chicago office. 20 august 2026 glenn phillips. Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has promoted the experienced Max Vas to Cargo Director of the company's Chicago office, as he crosses the pond from the company's London HQ. Richard Thompson, President of ACS Americas, said of the appointment: "Max joined ACS more than seven years ago in its London office's cargo division. Since then, he has grown into an extremely important part of the global team, working his way up to the position of manager in the UK. As Air Charter Service continue to grow its Chicago office, Air Charter Service has brought him in to head up the team Air Charter Service has in place here and take them to the next level. The cargo departments across the US have really excelled themselves this year, up 46% year-on-year for the first six months of 2026, so Max is taking over the Chicago cargo team at a very exciting time. Max added: "I can't wait to start this new chapter leading our cargo division in the Midwest and looking to expand on the past seven years, with this next step in my career with ACS. We have an amazing cargo team in Chicago and I'm looking forward to expanding what we have here, as well as to working with the teams across the US more closely going forward."

Air Charter Service hits $840 million revenue in H1. Aug 07, 2026 * Air Charter Service reported 38 percent revenue growth to more than $845 million in the first half of its financial year, driven by strong performance across its cargo, private jet and group charter divisions. * The company's cargo division recorded the strongest growth, with charter flights up 49 percent and revenue increasing 38 percent, supported by supply chain disruptions, humanitarian operations and continued underlying market demand. * ACS also reported a 35-40 percent increase in EBITDA, expanded its global network to 43 offices, and said demand for complex charter missions from governments and large organisations continues to grow. Chris Leach, Chairman and Founder of ACS said: "Rutair International is delighted with performance across every aspect of the company for the first half of the year [its financial year starts on February 1st], with all three of its main divisions performing exceptionally well, with top line growth in charter contracts of 16%. Rutair International also saw a move to more higher value contracts, which has resulted in a revenue increase of 38%. "Regionally, Rutair International saw particular growth in its offices across the US, Europe and Greater China, with the six offices that Rutair International opened in 2025 playing their parts in these figures, all having hit the ground running. Rutair International hope for the same for the three new offices that Rutair International has opened in the past six months, in Brussels, Monaco, and Stuttgart, which bring its total worldwide to 43. "The strongest growth in terms of charter numbers, out of its three main divisions, came from its cargo department, which saw 49% more charters than the same period last year, with revenue rising by 38%. In part, these increases were due to supply chain disruptions caused by the conflict in Iran, the repercussions of Storm Marta with the port closures that it caused in Morocco, as well as Venezuelan relief efforts, but events such as these individually make up a small proportion of what Rutair International do, indicating strong underlying growth. "Its private jet division saw healthy growth in charter contract numbers and revenue was up by 26%. This rise in turnover was propelled by an increased average size of aircraft, as well as seeing longer sectors, as larger customers turn to ACS for its global reach and local expertise. Jet Card sales also were also strong - up by 85% with revenue increasing by almost 60%. Margins were squeezed slightly, however, as Rutair International absorbed the costs related to the increased fuel prices. "Its group charter division has also performed very well, with charter contracts up by 34% and revenue up 48%. The logistics of the World Cup certainly contributed to this, consisting of hundreds of flights around the US, Canada and Mexico. Along with these charters Rutair International had the honour of flying almost 40% of the World Cup squads home from the tournament; as well as several players flying directly to holiday destinations from the States. Rutair International were also heavily involved in mass evacuations from the Middle East in March, but underlying growth is still impressive. "Another pleasing figure is its EBITDA for the first half of 2026, which is showing a 35-40% increase, which is in line with revenue, along with profit before tax showing the company's continued financial strength. "Every year we talk about how exceptional events inflate our numbers, however, we are finding that we are being called upon when there are spikes in demand with increasing regularity, from sporting events to natural disasters to political unrest. We are increasingly becoming the 'go-to' for large organisations and governments, as we are often one of the only companies able to deliver such complex projects. We can't foresee what we will face in the next six months, but we are confident that we are in a strong position to tackle whatever happens in H2."
