About the job
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Languages, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience working with Kindergarten or early years students is preferred.
- Good command of French, both written and spoken, is required.
- A good understanding of early childhood learning and development is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team is required.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children is required.
- Ability to create a positive, supportive, and child-centered learning environment is required.
- Support the French Teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities for Kindergarten students.
- Assist in creating a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration.
- Support students in developing basic French language skills through interactive activities, songs, games, and classroom routines.
- Assist in monitoring and assessing students’ progress and provide support based on their individual learning needs.
- Encourage students’ participation, confidence, and positive social interactions in the classroom.
- Help prepare teaching materials, classroom resources, and learning activities.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the French Teacher and other members of the teaching team.
- Support classroom management and ensure students are appropriately supervised and engaged throughout the school day.
- Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities.
- Previous experience working with Kindergarten or early years students.
