  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • At least three years of experience creating content in a communication or marketing field is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills are required, including the ability to manage complex tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and lead projects.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work are required.
  • Excellent editing skills are required, including technical knowledge of grammar and formatting.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and strategy is required.
  • Experience with web content management systems and marketing best practices is required.
  • Knowledge of AP style and experience working within brand guidelines are required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the marketing department and key campus admission and enrollment partners, guiding enrollment marketing strategies and tactics to reach and engage designated populations.
  • Create engaging visual and written multi-channel content for websites, email, social media, third-party platforms, and other communication vehicles to promote the Miami University student experience to future students.
  • Use data-informed strategy to implement, monitor, and maintain enrollment communication plans for prospective, admitted, and enrolling students, their parents or family, and other influencers, serving as liaison to strategic teams within the Office of Admission.
  • Collaborate with production managers, content creators, designers, photographers, web staff, and other appropriate staff to produce content in support of university enrollment goals.
  • Contribute to Miami social media channels by creating content that engages prospective Miami students.
  • Write, present, and modify copy.
  • Proofread other editors' materials.
  • Research content, conduct interviews, and prepare profiles.
  • Assist in maintaining project deadlines and feasibility during production of materials.
  • Follow processes and use appropriate software and tools to monitor the progress of active projects and provide support to ensure timely completion.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with communication in higher education, preferably admission marketing and communication.
  • Knowledge of higher education recruitment strategies and/or marketing and communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external constituencies.
  • Experience integrating technology as part of a larger marketing strategy.
  • Experience with customer relationship management software and other relational databases.
  • Experience writing and publishing blog content.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or other video editing software.
  • Customer service skills, including diplomatically, patiently, and successfully handling complaints, problems, questions, conflict, and suggestions.
  • Understanding of development and design tools, including HTML, search engine optimization, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, basic website analytics, measuring return on investment, and online copywriting's impact on search engine optimization.
