In this role, you’ll serves as the central point of accountability for maintaining accurate inventory records, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring seamless communication between fulfillment operations and internal stakeholders. , reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor and based at Fairfield, NJ on the shift Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
What you will be doing
- Conduct daily cycle counts of wallcovering inventory based on assigned items and designated locations
- Accurately enter inventory-related data into ERP and WMS systems
- Process delegated stock adjustments in accordance with company procedures
- Utilize root cause analysis techniques, including the “5 Whys,” to investigate inventory variances
- Identify, correct, and communicate root causes of inventory discrepancies to management
- Escalate unresolved discrepancies promptly to ensure timely resolution
- Verify physical stock presence before executing inventory adjustments
- Communicate and escalate significant inventory adjustments to relevant PJ staff members
- Investigate and resolve customer-impacting inventory issues, such as missing stock for ERP-generated orders
- Ensure timely and accurate updates across all systems to reflect inventory adjustments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for PJ staff
- Perform accurate and timely stock checks upon request
What You Bring to the Table
- Previous warehousing experience preferred
- Comfortable in Microsoft Excel
- Skilled in performing precise calculations related to inventory control and reconciliation
- Able to effectively multitask and shift direction quickly
- Outstanding communication skills and exceptional phone manner
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Excellent time management and follow up skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proactive approach to problem solving
