Familiarity with field and laboratory quality assurance/quality control procedures, chain-of-custody protocols, and data management practices is required.
Responsibilities
Complete NESHAP asbestos inspections and other sampling of asbestos-containing materials in vacant and occupied commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Complete lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments in vacant and occupied residential buildings, including collecting paint chips, surface dust, and soil samples.
Complete lead surveys and personal exposure assessments in various settings.
Assist with hazardous materials and universal waste surveys.
Assist with lead-in-drinking-water sampling.
Assist with radon testing.
Assist with mold and/or indoor air quality evaluations, including collecting air, bulk, and swab samples for mold.
Independently operate sampling equipment and direct-reading instruments.
Manage and analyze environmental data.
Prepare standard technical reports following regulatory guidance and company procedures.
Interface with clients on jobsites.
Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines, along with EPA, OSHA, and local regulations.
Oversee subcontractors.
Perform abatement oversight, air monitoring, and on-site microscopic analysis using NIOSH 582 methods.
May perform soil, groundwater, stormwater, or soil gas sampling.
May perform complex field sampling, remediation, or operations and maintenance tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
A current Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor License is preferred.

ASTI Environmental has an opening for a full-time, skilled, detail-oriented, well-organized Environmental Technician. We are looking for candidates with 3 to 6 years’ experience, including asbestos inspection experience.

Qualifications
