  • Experience with creating and building test fixtures in 3D CAD
  • Experience creating and executing on test plans or research studies
  • Experience working with mechatronics hardware – motors & drives, sensors, actuators, etc.
  • Experience with life data analysis, including zero-failure and k-failure test plans, censored data, confidence bounds (e.g., chi-square methods), and MTBF or B-life estimation.
  • Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and troubleshoot a variety of system issues across multiple engineering disciplines, but with a focus on those related to wear and degradation of components
  • Experience designing mechanical components
  • Desire to work in an incredibly fast paced startup environment
  • Cares about the world and wants to have an impact on it
Responsibilities
  • Engineer the transition of Fulfil’s system from prototype to production machines by improving their LTR and Robustness over entire expected life time
  • Design test fixtures based on current and future Fulfil designs using SolidWorks
  • Own creation of test plans for inducing EOL failure on various robotic assemblies and components
  • Build models to determine how many units need to be tested and for how long to support specific reliability objectives
  • Carry out testing for LTR, ensuring proper execution of methodology including HALT testing
  • Perform root cause and failure analysis during the testing cycles
  • Analyze and interpret data from LTR test, presents this data and conclusion to various stakeholders to determine best path forward

Fulfil provides automated pick-and-pack fulfillment for online grocery retailers. The system covers all product categories and temperatures, including fresh produce, meat, frozen, and refrigerated goods, using robotic, zero-touch packing to achieve high-speed processing. Operations run as a service: retailers install Fulfil’s automation and pay subscription and service fees for ongoing installation, maintenance, and support. Real-time, item-level inventory control ensures 100% order accuracy with no substitutions, enabling same-day delivery and flexible pickup. Fulfil differentiates itself by delivering end-to-end automation at the item level with very high accuracy, cost reductions (up to 50%), and a turnkey service model, rather than relying on manual fulfillment or partial automation. The goal is to help online grocery retailers improve delivery efficiency, boost customer satisfaction, and lower operating costs.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Fulfil went live at Whole Foods in Philadelphia suburbs by November 2025.
  • Kroger piloted Fulfil in a U.S. West Coast location in March 2026.
  • Fulfil's July 2026 site highlights growing retailer demand for automated grocery fulfillment.

What critics are saying

  • Kroger has only a pilot in March 2026; stalled rollout blocks revenue expansion.
  • Whole Foods and Kroger are powerful customers; losing one damages credibility and fundraising.
  • Grocery robotics is execution-heavy; one failed deployment can kill trust across 2026 procurement cycles.

What makes Fulfil unique

  • Fulfil automates all-temperature grocery fulfillment, from frozen goods to fresh produce.
  • Its robots deliver item-level inventory control and zero-touch packing, reducing manual picking errors.
  • Fulfil targets retailer-owned micro-fulfillment, not aggregator dependency, strengthening economics for grocers.
