Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy by accessing patient information only as necessary to perform assigned duties and following departmental Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements.
  • Make safety, customer service, care, and satisfaction a priority in every interaction.
  • Badge all patients, families, and visitors entering the UHealth hospital.
  • Create online profiles for patients, families, and visitors so their next visit can be entered into the Fast Pass system.
  • Act according to the CICARE and ACT frameworks by demonstrating professionalism, cooperation, alertness, helpfulness, and receptiveness to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Serve as a point of reference for patients, families, and visitors who need assistance or information, and attend to their requests and requirements.
  • Listen to patient, family, and visitor requests to provide a positive experience and proactively identify needed support.
  • Escort patients or family members when appropriate.
  • Assist with wheelchair transportation and other needs of differently abled patients.
  • Verify appointments in EPIC to validate parking.
  • Work closely with Public Safety regarding patients or visitors who are not permitted to visit the facility and are flagged in the system.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance in compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Cover weekend and evening shifts as required.

  • Multilingual skills are strongly preferred.
