  • Ability to work in a combination of office and laboratory/manufacturing-floor environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to use standard office and laboratory equipment, including computers, test setups, and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex process development and design-transfer activities, converting research and development and prototype builds into validated, production-ready manufacturing processes.
  • Define and execute process-validation plans, readiness-gate deliverables, and standard operating procedure development.
  • Establish manufacturing methods for technically complex assemblies where processes are not yet fully defined.
  • Own assigned manufacturing process areas with minimal oversight, including process definition, tooling and fixture requirements, documentation, and validation.
  • Ensure processes are controlled, repeatable, and scalable across product lines.
  • Independently solve manufacturing challenges of diverse scope and moderate-to-high complexity.
  • Lead structured root-cause investigations using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions for recurring or complex process issues.
  • Analyze manufacturing, quality, and yield data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, 6S, and PDCA methodologies.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators and deliver measurable improvements in first-pass yield, defect reduction, cycle time, and rework rates.
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturability reviews with Product Engineering.

About the Company

FormFactor

Produces probe cards and test systems

FormFactor provides test and measurement tools for integrated circuits, mainly probe cards and testing systems used across the IC lifecycle. It enables wafer-level testing by connecting devices under test to measurement gear via probe cards, probe stations, analytical probes, and thermal/cryogenic subsystems. The company differentiates itself with a broad, integrated portfolio gained through acquisitions (MicroProbe, Cascade Microtech, FRT, Advantest assets) and a focus on end-to-end wafer testing for DRAM, NAND Flash, SoCs, and high-frequency applications. Its goal is to help semiconductor makers improve device performance and manufacturing yields while speeding time-to-profit by offering reliable, comprehensive test interfaces and measurement systems.
