Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • At least five years of enterprise storage engineering experience is required.
  • Deep expertise in NetApp ONTAP or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Ceph at production scale is required.
  • Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols is required.
  • Experience integrating storage with VMware and Kubernetes using the Container Storage Interface is required.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIs are required.
  • Strong understanding of storage performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across storage, network, and host layers are required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and operate the storage foundation supporting compute, virtualization, database, and Kubernetes workloads.
  • Operate block, file, and object storage across data center, edge, and cloud environments.
  • Manage storage performance, data protection, and cost considerations.
  • Support heterogeneous storage estates at scale and account for the storage characteristics of diverse workloads.
  • Apply automation discipline to storage engineering work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications such as NCDA, NCIE, or Pure Storage certifications.
  • Experience with hybrid-cloud storage replication.
  • Familiarity with software-defined storage platforms beyond Ceph.
  • Experience with object storage at petabyte scale.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads with extreme input/output requirements.
