Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in emergency management, public administration, public health, nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field is required, or five years of progressively responsible experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least five years of professional experience in emergency management, public health, healthcare operations, clinical operations, nursing, emergency medical services, medical staffing, or a medical response role is required, including at least three years in a supervisory, lead, coordination, or program management role.
  • Proof of a valid driver's license and a driving record in good standing with no restrictions is required.
  • The candidate must communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
  • The candidate must have intermediate to advanced computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Suite.
  • The candidate must be able to use communication systems including cellular, two-way radio, and satellite systems.
  • The candidate must be able to perform extensive walking, stretching, bending, and occasionally lifting or exceeding 50 pounds.
  • The candidate must be available for extended or non-traditional hours, on-call duty, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency response deployments.
  • The candidate must successfully pass a scheduled or spontaneous drug screening and background check.
  • The candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • The role supports reservist program operations, with primary responsibility for Medical Support Team cadre readiness, compliance, and coordination.
  • Serve as the primary steady-state point of contact for assigned Medical Support Team Reservists and provide guidance and support regarding readiness, compliance, training, and deployment preparation.
  • Develop and streamline processes for identifying, qualifying, and assigning medical personnel to deployment and activation requests.
  • Support the development and maintenance of medical cadre rosters for steady-state operations, surge response, shelter operations, task forces, incident management support, and other deployment needs.
  • Generate staffing and compliance reports using division-specific systems such as Salesforce and Cornerstone.
  • Lead ongoing and annual recruitment support efforts for the Medical Support Team Cadre.
  • Respond to Medical Support Team help desk and hotline inquiries and resolve personnel-related issues.
  • Deliver year-round training, webinars, and just-in-time support to prepare reservists for steady-state and surge deployments.
  • Maintain performance and personnel records in Salesforce, including qualifications, deployments, certifications, licensure, and training history.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on staffing qualifications and assess position requirements based on operational needs and lessons learned.
  • Participate as a core member of the Incident Management Team, complete required training, and serve during activations.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, handbooks, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Foster a workplace culture that promotes safety, hazard identification, and reporting through the chain of command.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred and may substitute for years of experience.
  • Clinical education, licensure, or certification as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, or other healthcare professional is strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating personnel, staffing, compliance, training, credentialing, deployment support, or operational workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
  • Strong emergency medical services, paramedic, emergency medical technician, clinical operations, emergency management, or medical response experience may be considered.
