Environmental Regulatory Compliance Specialist
About the job
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or another related field.
- Three to five years of experience working in environmental, health, and safety consulting or a similar field.
- Project management experience including deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
- Successful completion of fit-for-work testing, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Collaborate with other regulatory compliance team members to review and revise written work products.
- Complete field work to gather information for inspection reports, permit applications, and compliance plans.
- Coordinate scheduling to meet clients’ regulatory compliance deadlines.
- Analyze data, prepare client reports, and upload results into state and federal online reporting systems.
- Review and interpret federal, state, and local regulations as they apply to clients’ operations, equipment, and circumstances.
- Respond to client or regulator requests for data or information provided in communications and reports.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification.
- Familiarity with environmental laws and associated regulatory programs, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Release Inventory, and Toxic Substances Control Act.
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration programs.
