Requirements
  • A High School Diploma, General Education Development credential, or five years of related work experience is required.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license, or equivalent, without learner’s restrictions is required.
  • The ability to stay on task and focused during long hours and adverse weather conditions is required.
  • The ability to climb ladders or steps up to approximately 3 metres, sit for extended periods, perform frequent three-point contact, and lift or move up to 50 pounds is required.
  • A strong commitment to personal safety and the safety of co-workers is required.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
  • Operate haul trucks ranging from 180 to 400 tons at assigned operations.
  • Operate dozers and graders at the operation where haul trucks are autonomous.
  • Perform mining-related duties such as handling electrical cables, delivering supplies, and assisting with equipment and autonomous haulage support.
  • Work safely in seasonal outdoor conditions, including rain, fog, snow, winter temperatures, uneven terrain, dust, noise, and vibration.
  • Communicate with dispatch, operators, and supervisors using two-way radios and onboard computer systems.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operational inspections and complete equipment reports.
  • Safely climb, access, and exit equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Complete additional operational tasks, including pit utility duties or broader mine-operations labour support, depending on site assignment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience operating heavy or agricultural machinery such as a forklift, skid steer, loader, tractor, or combine.
  • Experience in hands-on, safety-focused work environments such as industrial, construction, farming, forestry, or other fast-paced, production-driven settings.
  • Experience using two-way radio communication and following structured procedures.
  • Basic computer literacy.
