Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse in an intensive care unit setting.
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily shift operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care, efficient patient flow, and an exceptional patient experience.
  • Oversee staffing, patient assignments, and resource allocation based on patient acuity and operational needs.
  • Coordinate patient care and throughput with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve quality and length-of-stay goals.
  • Serve as a clinical resource by providing direct patient care, mentoring staff, and supporting evidence-based practice.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through rounds, huddles, and quality initiatives.
  • Support team engagement, professional development, retention, and an inclusive, positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and readiness requirements.
  • Model the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health and Orlando Health while supporting strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in the area of expertise.
  • Neuro intensive care unit experience.
