What believers are saying

  • Comity's August 4, 2026 article cites $25–$50 million commitments for 500MW data centers.
  • Power volatility and interconnection delays keep credit-risk automation budgets defensible.

What critics are saying

  • PUCT Project 58481 can change ERCOT collateral rules and break Comity's pricing.
  • A Texas-centric product exposes Comity to one regulator, one market, and one docket.
  • Banks and Bloomberg can copy core risk workflows faster than Comity scales.

What makes Comity unique

  • Comity targets counterparty credit risk for power and power-derived commodities, not generic fintech.
  • Its August 2026 ERCOT analysis translates proposed collateral rules into concrete capital requirements.
  • Caffeinated Capital and Maverick Ventures funded Comity, signaling conviction in energy-market infrastructure.
