Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in the construction field serving as a construction representative or inspector is required.
  • A valid and active driver's license is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Observe and inspect ongoing construction work to ensure it complies with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare daily construction reports.
  • Support ongoing document-control processes.
  • Prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress checks, and conflict resolution.
  • Provide information to the project manager or construction manager to help define the need for change orders, extra work, or supplemental agreements.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and other employees.
  • Read plans and specifications to ensure construction complies with them.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of a project management information system, such as e-Builder, Buzzsaw, FNI Manager, or Site Manager, is preferred.
  • One or more of the following certifications is preferred and may be considered in place of experience: DOT technical certifications, ACI I, APWA certification, Level I NICET, or ENV SWPPP.
