Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic/scientific field and a minimum of 3 years of related research support experience, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Ability to manage clinical research projects while adhering to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clinical teams, patients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with electronic data capture systems such as EPIC for clinical trial management.
  • Experience obtaining informed consent and handling research subject interactions and documentation.
  • Healthcare workers must meet pre-employment health requirements, including MMR and varicella vaccination or immunity, TB screening, COVID vaccination according to university policy, hepatitis B vaccination or immunity, and annual flu vaccination.
Responsibilities
  • Compare protocols and sponsored projects to confirm consistency between funding proposals or awards and approved protocols.
  • Document established congruency between funding proposals and approved protocols.
  • Facilitate or assist with resolving inconsistencies between funding proposals and approved protocols.
  • Serve as a liaison among the Grants and Contracts offices, investigators, and business managers to resolve congruency issues in a timely manner.
  • Attend meetings and present issues identified during congruency review when necessary.
  • Provide investigators and their staff with resources and technical assistance.
  • Provide analytical and technical support related to establishing and recording protocol and grant congruency as needed.
  • Monitor federal and state regulations for new guidance, updates, and policies; maintain knowledge of requirements to determine and follow actions needed for university compliance with congruency review and reporting requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and manage internal practices that ensure compliance with federal requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with FDA and regulatory submissions and compliance, specifically within clinical trials.
  • Advanced data management and analysis skills, including use of REDCap, Excel, and OnCore.
  • Familiarity with neurological or multi-specialty research, including hands-on experience with patient recruitment and study management.
