About the job
- Be enrolled at a university, for example in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a comparable degree program.
- Be available for approximately 20 hours per week for at least twelve months.
- Speak and write German and English fluently.
- Work reliably and independently, follow up on open items, and complete assigned tasks.
- Understand the relevance of account selection for reporting, taxes, and business oversight.
- Work confidently with numbers and Excel or Google Sheets.
- Learn new tools quickly and be interested in improving and automating finance processes.
- Balance attention to detail with pragmatism and prioritize effectively.
- Work from the office in Prenzlauer Berg.
- Manage the invoice workflow from invoice receipt through missing documentation, approvals, and payments.
- Monitor group payment transactions and execute many of the approved payments in Agicap.
- Monitor accounts receivable, reconcile incoming payments, and handle collections.
- Help build billing processes for new business areas, from invoicing through posting.
- Review accounts, cost centers, and tax rates before documents are sent to tax advisors.
- Resolve queries and ensure that the monthly business analyses (BWAs) for the holding company and subsidiaries are accurate and submitted on time.
- Identify bottlenecks and duplicated work, and improve the speed and reliability of finance processes.
- Analyze financial data, prepare it for internal management, and surface developments and variances early.
