Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Software Systems are preferred disciplines.
  • Professional Engineer designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
  • Five years of progressive experience.
  • Engineering experience related to SCADA systems and data communications is an asset.
  • Ability to work on a team while building and maintaining effective relationships.
  • A continuing record of professional development and continuous learning is required.
  • An Engineer-in-Training may be considered as a path to advance to Professional Engineer.
  • A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
  • A Class 5 driver's license is required.
  • The role is safety-sensitive and subject to the Drug and Alcohol Policy, including pre-employment or pre-placement requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned engineering projects, including design, plans, scope documents, construction, and commissioning of facilities or SCADA system improvements; obtain project approvals, prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules, procure materials and services, and oversee construction and commissioning.
  • Prepare, review, and approve design software and business reports, and evaluate and implement new operational technology to optimize costs while meeting business and legislative requirements.
  • Provide technical support investigating, analyzing, and resolving SCADA systems, gas measurement accounting system, or communications problems.
  • Provide on-call support for SCADA systems and communications.
  • Develop and/or deliver technical training for operators and technical support personnel.
  • Oversee contract staff by providing instruction and guidance.
  • Prepare and assist in developing plans and business cases to optimize systems, facilities, and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Travel occasionally, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters.

SaskEnergy announces Kevin Adair as President and Chief Executive Officer. Published Date Aug 6, 2026 SaskEnergy is pleased to announce that after an extensive search, Kevin Adair has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 17. "Kevin has significant experience within both the public and private sectors, and it was clear to the Board that he is the right person to lead SaskEnergy," said Susan Barber, Chair of SaskEnergy's Board of Directors. "He is a strategic and people-focused leader who inspires those around him and has demonstrated a strong commitment to SaskEnergy's employees, customers, and future success." Since launching his career with SaskTel in 1999, Adair has established a strong track record of leadership and operational expertise. He has held senior executive positions in the agricultural and communications technology industries, including the role of Vice President of Customer Services - Operations of SaskTel. Adair currently serves as Executive Vice President, Customer Service Operations with SaskEnergy and has held that position since joining the Crown corporation in 2021. In this role, he has been instrumental in advancing SaskEnergy's strategic priorities and delivering value to customers across Saskatchewan. "Kevin's leadership experience and commitment to SaskEnergy make him exceptionally well suited for the role of President and Chief Executive Officer," said Jeremy Harrison, Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy. SaskEnergy President and CEO Mark Guillet announces retirement. 57 seconds ago 2 minutes read Following a 36-year career with SaskEnergy, President and CEO Mark Guillet is retiring effective July 15, 2026. Guillet joined SaskEnergy's Legal department in 1990. Through his leadership and commitment to the company, he joined SaskEnergy's Executive team in 1995, when he was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In 2020, Guillet's portfolio expanded as he became Executive Vice President of Stakeholder Engagement, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. This role positioned him with a cross-section of responsibility, including: SaskEnergy's Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Environment, Indigenous & Community Engagement, Communications, and Land functions. He also served as the Corporation's Chief Privacy Officer. In February 2022, Guillet was appointed as SaskEnergy's Acting President and CEO, and was formally named President and CEO in May 2023. He has led with a spirit of collaboration, openness, and recognition of the efforts made by SaskEnergy's employees across Saskatchewan. Throughout his tenure as President and CEO, Guillet has contributed significantly to SaskEnergy's ongoing success. In 2023, the organization designed and developed an Indigenous Roadmap, establishing a clear path forward for meaningful relationships and impactful engagement with Indigenous communities. He received the Canadian Bar Association National Transition to Business Award in 2024. Guillet is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel. He also serves on the Canadian Gas Association's Board of Directors as second Vice Chair and the Chair of its Audit and Finance Committee.
