Miele appoints Bogdan Bayer as Country Manager for Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.

Miele appoints Bogdan Bayer as Country Manager for Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. Published on August 12, 2026 Miele announces the appointment of Bogdan Bayer as Country Manager for Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. Bayer joined Miele earlier this year and, in his role, he oversees the strategic and operational development of the company's business across the three markets, working with local teams and partners to support sustainable growth, strengthen the customer experience and further consolidate Miele's positioning in the premium domestic appliance segment. "Joining Miele was a very deliberate choice. I was attracted by a highly respected premium brand, the opportunity to work with teams across three culturally distinct markets and, above all, the company's values. The moment I encountered 'Immer Besser' - the commitment to always do better - I recognized a mindset that strongly resonates with me. Since 1899, Miele has built its success on quality and sound principles rather than short-term trends, and that long-term perspective is especially compelling," said Bogdan Bayer, Country Manager for Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia. Bayer brings nearly two decades of experience in commercial and marketing functions, including senior local, regional and global leadership roles. Before joining Miele, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for a publicly listed company operating in the wine industry, with a leading position in Central and Eastern Europe and an international presence. Earlier in his career, he held senior marketing and sales positions within the brewing and fast-moving consumer goods industries. His international experience spans Romania, France, the Netherlands, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as responsibilities covering several markets across Central and Eastern Europe. His professional background includes developing international brands, leading large and culturally diverse teams, managing commercial strategies in complex markets and contributing to revenue, market share and profitability growth. For 2026 and 2027, Bayer's priorities will include continuously improving the experience offered to customers and partners, investing in the people behind the brand, developing training programs, reinforcing service capabilities, advancing digitalization and building strategic partnerships. The objective is to ensure that the same standards of quality and care are visible at every point of contact with Miele. "In the premium segment, exceptional products are only the starting point. Customers must be able to trust the brand before, during and long after the purchase. Every interaction - whether in a showroom, online, in retail or through service - should reflect the same level of care and the same high standards. Our ambition is for Miele to become more than a premium domestic appliance brand: it should be the brand people choose and recommend naturally and without reservation," Bayer added. According to Bogdan Bayer, customers in the premium segment are becoming increasingly attentive to genuine, long-term value. They are looking for appliances that combine efficiency and durability with timeless design, intuitive connected functions and technologies that integrate easily into everyday life. Miele takes video production in-house with Canon and ndi-meta.

Miele takes video production in-house with Canon and ndi-meta. Use case. NDI products. Ecosystem partner. Products. A worldwide kitchen appliance manufacturer, Miele uses high-end video to drive brand awareness through livestream cooking demonstrations and pre-recorded marketing content. The marketing team outsourced video production for years, which was costly, time-consuming, and forced Miele to surrender creative control to an external entity. To maximize flexibility, cost savings, and creative control, Miele turned to Ganz Supravision to build a 100% NDI-based solution. Challenge. Outsourcing video production is expensive in Switzerland, where Miele's chefs and marketing team livestream cooking demonstrations and record videos that showcase their cutting-edge technology. They wanted to take video production in-house, but it would have been impossible for non-technical staff to master their existing SDI setup and produce high-quality videos. The learning curve on SDI tech is simply too high. Additionally, SDI's complex configurations can take multiple days to set up, making it difficult to create content on short notice. This reduced the amount of content the team could produce each quarter. To find a better solution, Switzerland's Miele office turned to Ganz Supravision. Co-CEO Christian Mossner and his team designed a solution that took just 2 weeks to deploy once they had completed the investigation phase. Next, they led a 4-day training that empowered in-house staff to create premium-quality livestreams and videos. Such a rapid transformation and seamless adoption were only possible with the right technology and infrastructure. I want to give my clients low-cost, high-performing technology, and that's NDI. It's the future of video production. The next generation of content creators will have no interest in SDI. Christian Mossner, Co-Owner, Ganz Supravision Solution. The setup included Vizrt Tricaster Mini, Canon's Cinema C70 cameras and Hybrid R5C cameras, along with two Canon PTZ camera models (CR-N300 and CR-N500), which the team operated with Canon's RC-IP100 controller. NDI's streamlined cabling connected the entire centralized system, providing an easy-to-use production platform that doesn't require a technical background to master. Christian and his team provided a comprehensive 4-day training to 3 chefs, 1 marketing professional, and 1 salesperson, who mastered the equipment by the end of the training. I was a little bit worried about using a professional camera, but after training with Christian, I can work the PTZ camera. It's very, very easy to use. Benoît Croset, Senior Manager, Culinary Experience, Miele Outcome. Thanks to their NDI-powered studio, Miele's creative team now has the flexibility to produce premium-quality videos and livestreams at a moment's notice. They no longer need to outsource creative control, and they've enjoyed significant savings without sacrificing quality. Barbara Märkli, Miele's Head of Culinary Experience, anticipates a high five-figure euro savings and complete cost recovery within 3 years. That said, what's even more significant than raw ROI is that Miele democratized video production through NDI, increasing both content quality and production volume. As a marketing-driven company, Miele now has the technical tools to bolster its brand in the years and decades to come. Ideal Systems will continue to collaborate with NIN9, testing new NDI products as they enter the market and continually improving podcast production quality. NDI save on agency costs in the upper five-figure euro range, and NDI expect to amortize its studio within the next three years. Barbara Märkl, Head of Culinary Experience, Miele weeks to implement days to fully train non-tech staff € savings projected with full cost recovery in 3 years Success stories. Thermador vs. Miele vs. Wolf: which luxury range is right for your kitchen?

Thermador vs. Miele vs. Wolf: which luxury range is right for your kitchen? Comparing Thermador, Miele and Wolf luxury ranges for modern kitchens. If you're investing in a high-end kitchen, the range is usually the centrepiece - visually, functionally, and budget-wise. Three names come up in almost every showroom conversation: Thermador, Miele, and Wolf. All three build serious cooking equipment, but they're built for different kinds of cooks and different kinds of kitchens. This guide breaks down how they actually compare on performance, design, price, and long-term ownership so you can decide which one belongs in your home. At Castle Kitchens, Castle Kitchens work with Thermador and Miele as its two flagship luxury appliance brands, and its designers spec them into kitchens across Markham, Toronto, and the GTA every week. Here's how they stack up. The quick comparison. If you only have thirty seconds: * Thermador - Best overall value in the luxury tier. Powerful Star Burners, generous package promotions, and the broadest range of sizes (30", 36", 48", 60"). The go-to for serious home cooks who want pro-style performance without crossing into ultra-premium pricing. * Miele - The engineering and design choice. Quiet, precise, German-built, and arguably the most refined-looking appliances in the category. Exceptional steam ovens and built-in coffee systems. Ideal for modern, minimalist kitchens. * Wolf - The American pro-style icon. Iconic red knobs, dual-stacked sealed burners, and a reputation built on commercial-grade construction. Excellent, but typically the most expensive of the three. Thermador: pro performance, smarter value. Thermador has been making professional-grade kitchen appliances in North America since 1916 and pioneered the built-in wall oven and the cooktop as separate appliances. Today it's owned by BSH (the same group behind Bosch and Gaggenau), which means German engineering with a strong North American service network. What Thermador does best. * Star Burners - Thermador's star-shaped burner design delivers more even heat distribution than a traditional round burner, with a true simmer down to 375°F at the lowest setting. * Range of sizes - From a compact 30" Pro Harmony to the showpiece 60" Pro Grand with double ovens, warming drawer, and griddle. Few brands offer this much flexibility. * The One-Two-Free package - Thermador's signature promotion bundles a range with a refrigerator and dishwasher and gives one of them free. For a full kitchen build, the savings are substantial. * Wi-Fi-connected Home Connect ovens - Preheat from your phone, monitor cook times remotely, and access guided cooking modes. Where Thermador fits. Thermador is the brand Castle Kitchens recommend most often to clients who want the look and performance of a pro-style range but care about getting genuine value out of their appliance budget. The promotion structure alone can save $5,000-$15,000 on a full kitchen package depending on the configuration. Miele: precision, Quiet, and design-first. Miele is family-owned, German-built, and tests every appliance to last 20 years. That obsession with longevity shows up in the build quality the moment you open one of their ovens - the hinges, the seals, the panel finishes all feel a step above. What Miele does best. * Steam ovens and combi-steam - Miele is widely considered the benchmark here. If you want to bake, steam, and roast with restaurant-level results, this is the brand. * Built-in coffee systems - A Miele plumbed-in espresso machine in a wall column is one of the most-requested upgrades in its high-end kitchen projects. * Quiet, refined operation - Miele dishwashers and ovens are noticeably quieter than competitors, which matters in open-concept kitchens. * Seamless design language - Miele's appliances are designed to look like a continuous wall of glass and steel. For modern, minimalist, or European-style kitchens, nothing pairs better. Where Miele fits. Miele is for clients who want their kitchen to feel engineered. They tend to prefer wall-oven configurations with induction cooktops over big pro-style ranges, and they care about how the appliances integrate into the cabinetry. If you're building a modern kitchen in Markham, Toronto, or Vaughan and want it to still look current ten years from now, Miele is hard to beat. Wolf: The American pro-style icon. Wolf, paired with Sub-Zero refrigeration, defined the pro-style luxury kitchen category in North America. The red knobs are practically a status symbol, and the dual-stacked sealed burners are genuinely excellent - particularly for high-heat searing. What Wolf does best. * Dual-stacked burners - Two tiers of flame per burner, giving you both extreme high heat (up to 20,000 BTU) and a very controlled low simmer. * Build quality - Heavy stainless construction that feels commercial-grade. * Brand recognition - In some markets, a Wolf range is a known signal of a premium kitchen, which matters for resale. Where Wolf fits. Wolf is for buyers who specifically want the American pro-style aesthetic and are comfortable at the top of the price ladder. It's an excellent product - but for most of its clients, Thermador delivers comparable cooking performance for noticeably less money, and Miele wins on design refinement. Head to head: how they actually compare. Cooking performance. All three brands cook beautifully. Wolf and Thermador both excel at high-heat gas cooking - Wolf with its dual-stacked burners, Thermador with its Star Burner design. Miele's strength is in the ovens, especially anything involving steam or precision temperature control. If you cook a lot of European-style baked goods, roasts, and slow cooking, Miele's combi-steam oven is genuinely transformative. Design and aesthetic. Thermador and Wolf both lean traditional pro-style - stainless steel, big knobs, visible vents. Miele is the modern, minimalist choice with flush installations, flat black or stainless finishes, and clean lines. Pick based on the kitchen you're designing around, not the other way around. Price. Wolf is typically the most expensive of the three at comparable configurations. Thermador and Miele are usually within range of each other on sticker price, but Thermador's package promotions often tip the math significantly in its favour for full-kitchen builds. Service and parts in canada. All three brands have established Canadian service networks. Thermador and Miele both have strong support in the GTA, and at Castle Kitchens Castle Kitchens coordinate service directly when needed for clients who purchased through its showroom. So which range should you buy? Choose Thermador if you want pro-style cooking performance, the widest range of sizes, and the best overall value through bundle promotions. It's the brand Castle Kitchens recommend most often for full luxury kitchen builds in the GTA. Choose Miele if design refinement, steam cooking, and built-in coffee are priorities, and your kitchen leans modern or European. Miele is the brand to buy if you want your appliances to still look current in 2036. Choose Wolf if the pro-style American aesthetic is non-negotiable and budget isn't a constraint. In a lot of its highest-end projects, the answer is actually a combination: a Thermador or Wolf range with Miele wall ovens, steam oven, and coffee system. There's no rule that says you have to commit to one brand for the whole kitchen. Final thoughts. The right luxury range comes down to how you cook, how you want the kitchen to feel, and how the appliance package fits into your overall renovation budget. At Castle Kitchens, its showroom in Markham has live Thermador and Miele displays, and its designers can walk you through configurations side-by-side so you can see and touch the differences before you commit. Visit its Markham showroom or book a free consultation to see Thermador and Miele ranges in person and find the right fit for your kitchen.
