About the job
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or Informatica.
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or Redshift.
- Root cause analysis skills.
- Business requirements gathering skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects and initiatives.
- Understand and develop ANSI SQL queries.
- Handle semi-structured data formats such as JSON, XML, and HTML.
- Use querying tools for distributed systems such as Hive and Impala, as well as other SQL clients, relational database management systems, Python, and Scala.
- Transform data to meet business needs.
- Use tool-based and code-based data transformation and ETL development, such as Informatica or Talend for tool-based development and Spark or MapReduce frameworks in Python, Scala, or Java for code-based development.
- Work with data warehousing and reporting technologies.
