- Must be capable of performing the physical demands of the job, including bending, kneeling, carrying, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Perform basic cleaning, with primary duties involving baling cardboard and general warehouse cleaning.
- Collect garbage bins from the warehouse floor, empty them, and return them.
- Break down cardboard for recycling.
- Drive as needed and use a golf cart for trash collection after training.
- Perform additional warehouse duties, including using a baler or other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, and follow prescribed safety regulations and company, state, and federal policies.
- Clean restrooms, including restocking toilet tissue and other dispensers, emptying trash, sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors and partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
- Move and reposition furniture, vacuum, empty trash, and replace liners.
- Check all trash containers before moving them.
- Clean floors and surfaces through dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, gum removal, dusting, picking up larger objects, and spot-cleaning glass.
- Attend to flooded areas, incidental spills, and related trash and restroom cleanup as required.
- Restock carts and closets at the end of each shift.
- At least one year of experience is preferred.
- Physical fitness and strong upper body strength for moving large carts of cardboard are ideal.
